Thank's a lot Danny and greendepent, you are my boyz! :)

While I am struggling my ass off trying to make something not too comical out of Nightlife, here's Scattered acoustified for you guys to enjoy (at least I hope you will). Wish you all a happy weekend!

I haven't been following this thread for a while, clicked on it randomly just now and, well, it was really nice to hear one of my favourite Green Day songs mellowed down and chilled out like that. A very pretty rendition indeed!

Fucking amazing.. You made my day perfect with every song you Dookiefied or Acoustified (I know I should not tell this to you every time ;) ). Especially "Scattered" is one of my favorites now (because I love that song so much :runaround: ). And nice demo too!!! Hold on with what you are doing! ;D

I know yous aren't the only ones, but people in this thread really need to watch out for quoting videos.

For someone who doesn't stop here very often, I must say I'm impressed.

In my mind, Nimrod was the transitional album for Green Day. Some songs felt like they could fit on Dookie, and some took a completely different direction (in fact some of the songs were written around the time Dookie came out). As far as requests go, I'm down for anything. Though I'm a little partial to the album Warning.

Thank's for the input :) Nimrod was a departure from their adolescens sort of. From what I've read in interviews Billie Joe had been listening to a lot of Springsteen, Tom Waits, Beatles and Bob Dylan and he was working very much like a solo artist up until Warning when there was a breaking point and a big argue within the band and BJA actually concidering going solo. Correct me if I'm wrong guys!?

You're absolutely right; Green Day's hiatus in the early 2000's was almost indefinite. Of course, then American Idiot happened and the rest is history.

Especially Cogarettes and Valentines. That's history.

I think Shoplifter would sound amazing

Okay. Spot on. Or Favorite Son. Or Governator. Or Too Much Too Soon. They'd all be great

Yeah, I agree with the others too. Shoplifter gains a whole new dimension with an electric guitar, and Too Much Too Soon has that perfect level of Dookie "attitude".

And that attitude in " gonna take it for a joy ride anyway" in governator!

Glad you all liked Scattered! Now we can leave that one behind lol. Recording of Nightlife is delayed because I'm sick and having a sore throat, but I still do some bass and guitars :)

I was fooling around a bit today in the studio, record demos of my originals as well as trying out some Green Day songs to get to know them a bit better for future recordings. This recording kinda sucks because I did it fast in one take but I figured it would still be fun to share it with you. It's not an "official" release. Just a clip of me trying out the song :)

I loved Scattered acoustified and your Brutal Love sounds so great too! Even if you might have a sore throat your voice really suits Brutal Love. It's one of my favourite songs and I'd love hearing a full acoustified version like this but Dookiefied would be really cool as well :)
