I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of the Oh Love cover though, maybe because I actually like the original recording and the whole thing doesn't work here.... But I've just watched your accoustic medley. Amazing work! Would you mind re-doing the Paper Lanterns guitar part? I just came back here from Youtube reading one of the comments going "Better then the original, amazing!!" and then I read yours haha. People really have different opinions on things in life, which is a good thing of course. I don't think the Dookiefied covers works as well on people who are 100% pleased with the sound on the trilogy as opposed to those who enjoy the heavier sound I think? I think I've asked this before, but you should probably also do a version of Oh Love with just dookified guitars. Oh Love isn't really the most beloved song on this forum, so I think it'd be interesting to see how much the "dookified" guitars could change that. Up until Warning it was all organic, analoge recordings. You could basically feel the wood and the blood, sweat and tears coming out of the speakers, but from AI and on it's too much samples and digitalism and stuff. I think it took away much of the soul. I always like the concept of "keep it simple and stupid". Dookie was just perfect like that. It was the real thing to me and that is the sound I have learned to love. Too bad the guy who mixed it is dead Just pushing the new song "Dreamcatcher" up again if someone just entered the conversation and might have missed it I just came across this song thanks to your vid. Can't believe i wasn't aware of it, goes to show how much i stopped following the band and GDA for quite a while just before Uno was released. Got to go listen to the original now, though i've a feeling it might not be as fun as this cover... Which was awesome by the way. Dreamcatcher sounds like a sweet sort of song.
