24HrRevengeTherapy
I think that it is definitely better than "Uno". I thought that one was decent, but "Dos" definitely has more riffs that stand out immediately for one thing. I'll give a more in-depth post after I listen to it again. muru
This album is pure sex. O_O First thoughts; Amy is an excellent ending for this album. So pretty. I want to make babies with Makeout Party's basslines. I really want to hear Ashley and Baby Eyes live and sing until I lose my voice. See You Tonight is perfect! Not sure what I think about Wow! That's Loud. I'm so confused because a part of my brain loves it but at the same time something about that song really bothers me. I think it's the "and it goes" part with the guitar. Reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Nightlife pleasantly surprised me. It's intriguing. I actually really like it. It's the kind of song you can get very lost in. deletethisaccount
My top 3 are Lazy Bones, Baby Eyes and Amy. Lazy Bones holds a similar charm as Rusty James for me. Lazy Bones and Baby Eyes have one of my favorite chord progressions ever in the choruses. Amy is just a perfect closer that worked way better in it's position than I thought it would. The only thing on this album that I don't like is the rapping on Night Life. I like hip hop, but the rapping on that track just sounds lame. I find Billie's vocals intriguing so it's not an entirely skipable track. But yeah, better than ¡Uno!

Haha! I meant to place it between Warning and Uno! With a rating of 7.5/10. Used to think it was better than AI. How silly I used to be
Vespertine
Overall, it's a decent album. I don't know, I'm not as excited about Uno and Dos as most fans seem to be. I feel like there's something missing in both albums, and I have no freaking idea what it is. My favorite songs are Ashley, Lazy Bones and Stray Heart. StefanD
The lyrics to the first track are actually pretty creepy. Very Tre-like song in that it's built around quiet guitar chords, innocuous vocals and lyrics that, if you listen to them, have some kind of twisted sickness to them. Sounds like a grown up version of all by myself..but just stalking...no masturbation in this one...from them anyway

tdlyon
Lady Cobra reminds me of Fell in Love with a Girl, a little bit. It reminds me of it a LOT. That's okay though, they're both awesome songs.
captain peroxide
My roommate said the same thing to me today. The melodies are identical somewhere, for a couple of seconds, especially on "I don't wanna suicide." Same melody as "She turns and says 'are you alright?'" Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap
I wasn't staring at the tracklist when it came on. Also, discovery: the first chord progression in Lazy Bones is the same as the one in Give Me Novacaine. This is so odd, I seem to fall in love with the new songs which remind me of my favourite older tracks. E.g. Rusty James & !Viva La Gloria!. Every so slightly different, Lazy Bones is F#m A Bm E and Novacaine is A F#m Bm E. I never even noticed the Rusty James/Scattered thing till someone mentioned it. Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap
Ah right I thought you were referring to Viva La Gloria having the same chord progression as Letterbomb! I don't know if it's all to do with the chord progressions being near identical but there's something about Novacaine and Lazy Bones that make them similar, they're both quite intense inside your own head kind of songs. Holly
I love this album so much, SO MUCH. I need some decent speakers to really blast it out, these laptop ones are shitty. I love it so much more than Uno already, I feel it has so much more pace. When I actually know all the songs and lyrics I know it's going to be one of my favourite albums of all time. The feel of the whole thing is amazing, so Rock & Roll. Right, these are the notes I wrote down as I was listening to the album for the first time: See You Tonight - an amazing opener, so different to what I expected, but in a really good way. Fuck Time - fucking badass. I have few words to describe it other than badass. For the first time in pretty much any Green Day song ever, I prefer the parts when Billie isn't singing and it's just the instruments. Billie's laughing and sex sounds are so hot, oh my God. Stop When The Red Lights Flash – I'm not a massive fan, for me its a bit of a filler. Bit meh. It's alright and I'll probably love it when I know all the words, but it didn't leave much of an impression on me. Lazy Bones – so good I could cry, in fact the first time I heard it I pretty much did. I’ve listened to the snippet of it on repeat since we first got to hear it and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Wild One – a great song to lay back on my bed, shut my eyes and just have surround me. One of my favourites. The guitar solo gave me butterflies. Makeout Party – makes me want to dance. Billie’s vocals are just incredible, I love the rock & roll feel of this album so much. BADASS SOLOOOOOO Stray Heart – Already listened to this thousands of times, it's already one of my favourite Green Day songs. I cried when I first heard it and it's still making me well up a little. My belly is doing flips I love it so much. Ashley – so good. So good. So good. Not a fan of the chorus Ashley part, but I love the verses. Baby Eyes – meh. I think it'll be a grower. Lady Cobra – this just makes me want to daaaaance, even more so than Makeout Party. It also reminds me of The White Stripes – Fell in Love With a Girl. Nightlife – urgh, not a fan. At all. I can see this being a song I’ll skip every time for the rest of time. I’m glad they’re trying other stuff, but for me, this is just no. Wow! That’s Loud – Love it. Reminds me of the Beatles so much, I also keep thinking it’s going to burst into ‘these boots are made for walking’ Amy – fucking beautiful. I was worried with Good Riddance being taken out of the setlist no songs were gonna make me cry on the next tour, but this is gonna have me a complete mess. In a good way. 1039SweetChildren
I love the vibe of Ashley. I feel like it evokes a lot of dark emotion and angst. It's great.
!
Well after listening to it about 5 times, I finally formed a full opinion of it. The highlights for me are Fuck Time, Lazy Bones, Amy, and Makeout Party. The only songs I don't care for are Wild One and Wow that's loud. The music from Dos will sound better performed live, and sounds better music wise but I still prefer Uno. Uno - 9/10 Dos - 7.5 / 10 Tre - hopefully a 100/
