One of the best songs from DOS. I don't know why people complain so much about it! It has a little Who-ish vibe... I really like it!

My favorite for now is Lazy Bones though

yes, it's really amazing!

I love Lazy Bones too, and Ashley, Fuck Time, Baby Eyes, Wild One... all of them.

Nothing like the first, fresh listen to an album. Oh my. ^.^

I'm totally digging that bassline on Makeout Party! I'm happy to hear more Mike! :)

Edit: And wow, the transitions to this album are awesome. This would be an amazing driving late-night type of album.

And an album I may be able to get away with sneaking onto the playlist while I'm hanging out with friends without them noticing. muahahaha

I am hooked oh what I'm hearing. Love this album. I don't have a favorite at the moment. Love the background music to Nightlife.

I'm glad to hear all the reviews are positive! Makes sense, it's Green Day after all.

So far I've had lots of self control... I'm going to listen to Nightlife, that's IT. Is that a good decision?

Stray Heart I would imagine, given the little snipits I heard, is/will be my favourite. Just a perfect song on all levels.

GREEN DAY!

See You Tonight 2.5/5 Kind of boring and weird. Not a great intro.

Fuck Time: 4/5 Catchy as fuck, funny as well.

Stop When The Red Lights Flash: 3.5/5 Solid, but kind of boring after a few listens.

Lazy Bones: 5/5 Really, really, really good, catchy, great lyrics, great music.

Wild One: 3/5 Long, slow and boring at the start, bizzarely catchy in the middle.

Makeout Party: 3/5 This is one catchy motherfucker, lyrics aren't solid, but a bit young for Green Day though.

Stray Heart : 4.5/5 Very nice, Catchy, good lyrics, great ending.

Ashley: 5/5 Where its at, Catchy and great lyrics. Really good song.

Baby Eyes: 4/5 Catchy as fuck once again, good lyrics as well.

Lady Cobra: 4.8/5 Really nice song here, catchy as fuck, good lyrics.

Nightlife: 3/5 The chorus is great I don't really like Lady Cobras bit, not cause I don't like rap, I do, but she just seems like a massive slut.

Wow! That's Loud: 4.5/5 Amazing Riff, Great solo, good lyrics and very catchy.

Amy: 2/5 A real big Pshhhhh right here. I think it might work quite well as a single though, especially cuz its about Amy Winehouse. Billie didn't know her though did he?

This is just based off my first listen though (except Stray Heart), my opinions my change. Anyway this is a hell of a lot better Uno I think, I might even rank this above one of the 1990-2004 albums.

I listened to the first three songs and had to turn it off. I'm going to wait like a good boy for 3 days then enjoy the awesomeness that is DOS!

Does anyone else think 'Lazy Bones' could be a single? It's different enough from their previous stuff to make People take notice but also got a cool indie vibe going that Hipsters could dig

I haven't heard the album, but I can still offer my opinion.

I think weird is a great opening to an album. I love Green Day's weird songs.

All the stuff about the songs being too young for Green Day is what I said when I listened to Uno, because Uno's supposed to sound like Green Day. It's supposed to be an opening. It's supposed to be classic Green Day. And I don't like the constant high school references.

HOWEVER. This was said by Billie to be "basically the second Foxboro Hot Tubs album." The Foxboro Hot Tubs is almost a joke, they're trying to recreate the 1960s style of rock and roll, kind of like The Network. It's a musical experiment. Delving into different genres, and doing what they can with it. Songs like "Nightlife," "Makeout Party," "Wild One"... Those are all reflective of the era and style of music they're imitating. It's a nostalgic cultural experience they're trying to recreate.

In my opinion:

Uno - Fucking punk.

Dos - Rock and Roll.

Tre - Mature, beautiful lyrics, with a sense of playfulness, but hardcore punk, amazing music, but... Yeah. Tre's just going to be fucking epic. :D

Fucking to a song about joining a cult. That's different.

Well if you think of it that way, and not as your girl being a wild one, then I guess it is different.

Omg! I hate myself for listening to the leak! I really didn't want to D:

But I love it! I'm only listening to it once. I loved Makeout Party, Wow! That's Loud, Ashley and Fuck Time :D And I loved the way See You Tonight and Fuck Time fit so perfectly! :)

Some of the songs are boring after a lot of listens though, like Stray Heart and Stop When The Red Lights Flash.

I love Amy, but it doesn't fit I think..

Ah! This album is amazing! Absolutely loving everything, even Nightlife. My only complaint is that See You Tonight isn't longer, but other than that, brilliant.

Tre won't be hardcore punk. After listening DOS I want them to release horror punk type of record somewhere in future. Just a thought...

A good set of headphones should be on your santa list.

-- whereas my daughter woke up the family to the sound of Wow !, That's Loud this morning ... the wife was furious, I just pretended to be asleep.. like you do.

Fuck Time is a great song for fucking :toocool:

It's pretty short, hopefully the fucking lasts through a few more songs lol :)

Ok so I caved and listened to ¡Dos! only cause ¡Tre! got moved up and the wait isn't as long.... Love this album so much, even more so than ¡Uno! When I saw it was a shade under 40 minutes I was kinda let down but for such a short time, it sure packs a punch.

Best songs:

Lazy Bones

Wild One

Stray Heart

Ashley

Wow! That's Loud

Amy

I really enjoyed Nightlife as well, since that seems to be the love-it-or-hate-it track on this album, and it's not a coincidence that bass dominates a majority of the songs when Mike is on the cover...

Didn't mean to quote on my reply... Oops
