¡DOS! Album

See You Tonight is awful.

It's interesting how people can have such different views on songs. I honestly thought I had hit play on a Simon and Garfunkel track when See You Tonight started playing. I mean that as a good thing!

The girl rapping in Nightlife is kind of annoying. I don't think I can listen to the rest of the song.

Yeah, not my thing at all. My dad would probably love it, though.

I absolutely LOVED Amy. It's a song I think she would be proud of herself. Slow, emotional and awesome bluesy guitar.

I also loved that they ended iDos! with it. The album is all about sex, drugs and rock n roll. The partying, the sex, the excess. All of the things that sadly killed Amy Winehouse. Ending iDos! with a tribute to her is so poignant. Shows that iDos! isn't celebrating and promoting that culture. That's what I took out of it anyway.

Sex killed her?

I don't feel like... satisfied. Stray Heart + Stop When The Red Lights Flash + Lazy Bones + See You Tonight are great Green Day songs in my opinion, but the other songs should have been released in a Foxboro album.

(i'm not sure that i'm writing this sentence right in english :D )

Well, the guy she was married to definitely had a hand in it.

Stray heart 10/10 since Tiki Bar have said this is a good song

Ashely/Baby Eyes 8.5/10 classic green day these two get the same because I feel the both sound American idiot-y

Lady Cobra 9/10 fun fast and simple

Nightlife- 7/10 bit long but good solo solid song

Wow That's Loud 4/10 or 9/10 can't work this one out I kinda love it but I Kinda hate it idk

Haha what difference would it make if they released them as Foxboro?

Was never expecting much from this trio after not liking 21cb (which i'm finally getting into) but Uno surprised me, i love the fact i can hear elements of near all their previous albums while sounding Fresh at the same time, i'm only up to Wild ones so far and this album sounds pretty consistent.. though i've not heard a track yet that really stands out like Kill the DJ and Let Yourself go do for me on uno. Thumbs up so far though!

the only thing I didn't like too much on UNO was the kind of forced Vintage sound vibe of the whole thing.

with DOS I'm loving a lot more the sound of the whole thing (except for Nightlife  and the guitar on Amy).

After 4 listens on Dos I think it's a really nice album.

I'm listening for the first time right now and so far I think it's far better than Uno. Really like it!

Because they're sound like Foxboro, they're not that good songs, and some of them doesn't sound like Green Day at all.

I think there are a lot of filler songs in this album.

Lazy Bones is pure ear candy. See You Tonight is awful.

I loved See You Tonight! Now THAT is what you call Beatle-esque.

I thought the pause in Lazy Bones was...odd.

Because they're sound like Foxboro, they're not that good songs, and some of them doesn't sound like Green Day at all.

I think there are a lot of filler songs in this album.

Billie himself said there was absolutely no filler on any of the albums from the trilogy.

I was totally faked out listening to that for the first time and I got a huge grin on my face when I realized it wasn't over.

If in 1994 I would play you the Forgoten would you think it sounds like green day?No so there's no thing as sound like green day.

Fuck time would be even more perfect if on one verse the words on the chorus were "You know I really wanna loose my mind"

Which musician will say that there are fillers on his album, seriously?

In my opinion, there are some songs on Uno and Dos which shouldn't be released, because they're not good enough.

After some more listening, "Lazy Bones" seems to be stuck in my head and i like it, "Wow that's loud" is also growing on me a lot, Amy is a nice emotional and great tribute as well. But i have to say i really do prefer UNO! But DOS is still an awesome album! Also i really like "See You Tonight" its a good way to start the album! :)

Good point.

Then I'm correcting myself: Green Day goes to a direction which i personally don't like, if i listen to this album, it seems like they've lost that uniqe sound (& lyrics) they had in albums like American Idiot and 21 Century Breakdown.
