I think they should use "See You Tonight" like they used "Song of The Century" at the live shows. It fits verry well and its awesome :)

Am I the only one that likes Nightlife? I mean, I think it's just freaking awesome.

I'm with you DJ. I love nightlife but close to everyone hates it. The solo is pretty awesome

Listening to Lazy Bones and having an eargasm. ¡Dos! is SOOOO much better than ¡Uno!

Not sure if I like it more than Uno. I think because Uno was the first new Green Day album since 2009 it's gonna hold a special place for me, but Dos definitely is awesome and has some pretty sweet rockers.

what makes this album so special is that its constantly on a high level. i couldnt name any favourites right now, because every song is so different and has really special parts... i would say right now they have all the same quality (besides stop when the red lights flash and see you tonight, which fit in the album context but arent that good standing alone)

Gotta say (im sure to recieve some shit for it), but Lazy Bones is by far my least favorite off of DOS. Its a fantastic song but that whole album fucks UNO and leaves without saying goodbye. WOW, Baby Eyes, Wild One, and Amy are my tops ATM.

If anyone cares, I downloaded the album, gave it my first listen and live tweeted all along the way. I'll spoiler it to avoid the long post.

Full cup of tea, door closed, headphones in, volume up. Time to listen to iDos! , the new Green Day album! #greenday #dos

As with iUno!, I'm going to be tweeting my opinion of each song on iDos! as I go. You follow me so deal with it! #greenday #dos

Track 1, See You Tonight. Sounds like Simon and Garfunkel, not what I was expecting!!! #greenday #dos

Track 2, Fuck Time. As the title, unapologetic, coarse, lust filled song about fucking. No hidden meaning, pure sex. #greenday #dos

Track 3, Stop When The Red Lights Flash. The album party in full swing now! Fast, awesome drums. Incredibly catchy chorus!

Track 4, Lazy Bones. A medium tempo, guitar heavy track. Good storytelling lyrics, need more listens. #greenday #dos

Track 5, Wild One. Trouble at the party now, a grungy number, this track chugs along like a slow train. Filler. #greenday #dos

Track 6, Makeout Party. Brings back the power and pace. Raw, substance fuelled, lust filled. Soundtrack to a college party! #greenday #dos

Track 7, Stray Heart. The Jam-esque bass line! Kick ass intro to a great catchy chorus. Fav song on album so far. #greenday #dos

Track 8, Ashley. Pure pop punk! Haven't caught the lyrics but don't sound like a love song. Fast and unrelenting. #greenday #dos

Track 9, Baby Eyes. Unrelenting straight from 8-9. More melodic, awesome lyrics. Guitars cranked up to 11 in last 2 tracks! #greenday #uno

First half of iUno! is better than second. Opposite seems to be true of iDos! #greenday #dos

Track 10, Lady Cobra. I've met the girl, she's fucking insane. This song does her justice! So much noise. #greenday #dos

Track 11, Nightlife. Green Day are trying a hip-hop song!! Thankfully it's Lady Cobra on Vocals, not BJ. Sleazy and sexy. #greenday #dos

Track 12, Wow! That's Loud. Playing it at full volume, of course. True GD sound, arena punk. Great guitars, awesome solo. #greenday #dos

Wow! That's Loud is a song not about a song but a dress! Never know what to expect from these boys. #greenday #dos

Track 13, Amy. Tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. A slow, bluesy song she'd be proud of. Pure emotion, beautiful guitar. #greenday #dos

Amy, a beautiful song to end iDos! on. After the rock n roll binge, a tribute to a life taken by that lifestyle is poignant. #greenday #dos

Dos is far more experimental than Uno where GD stuck with vintage sound. Some will love, some will hate. I'l wait b4 giving my final verdict

One more listen to Stray Heart, my favourite track from iDos!, and then I've had my fill for tonight. #greenday #dos

Stray Heart is my favourite song, Wild One is my least favourite. Completely different album to iUno! Hard to compare, A bit like Dookie and Nimrod.

I like it very much :)

>dat ska part on Lazy Bones

I'm hearing Dig by NOFX here. That's as far as I've gotten so far though.

Except I listened to Amy first and was sorely disappointed.

I listened to Amy so many times with the sirens, background noise and the gunshot, that I think this song is missing something. One more thing to go along with Billie's Vocal and guitar. But im not quite sure. Any ideas?

I like Amy a lot more than I thought I would, actually. The lyrics are really great and I like how bare bones it is.

I absolutely LOVED Amy. It's a song I think she would be proud of herself. Slow, emotional and awesome bluesy guitar.

I also loved that they ended iDos! with it. The album is all about sex, drugs and rock n roll. The partying, the sex, the excess. All of the things that sadly killed Amy Winehouse. Ending iDos! with a tribute to her is so poignant. Shows that iDos! isn't celebrating and promoting that culture. That's what I took out of it anyway.

While I'm waiting for Halo 4 tonight I'm going to blast "Fuck Time" and see what people think

The difference between Uno and Dos is that the latter's experiments work perfectly. Kill the DJ, Oh love, loss of control, and troublemaker don't quite work. Don't get me wrong they aren't horrible, but what they were trying to do didn't really come through. There isn't anything technically wrong with loss of control, but it doesn't have that lo-fi pinhead gunpowder sound so it just sounds like a pop band trying to be punk. Not that GD isn't punk, it just wasn't possible the way they mixed the album.

I think I'll stick to the live version we have, and hopefully we'll get something even better in the future.

The guitar raped my ears.

Ummmm no? When you burn a CD, all the tracks are converted to WAV and you can fill about 80 minutes of music, regardless of file quality.

I remember that Nero (I guess that other progamms too) have a option that allows you to reach 82 minutes, but it could give some problems.

Fucking killing myself by trying to wait for the release date. I do have a question, though; you guys say Ashley and Baby Eyes are really fast. Are they like St. Jimmy, Platypus, and Jaded fast? Like pure punk beats? I always LOVE songs like that.

Loved Amy; I thought it was a very fitting tribute. I could relate to it a lot because it wasn't personal. Meaning, what Billie saw of her in newspapers and on TV was the same as what the rest of us saw - there are no hidden messages or personal tributes to her in the song that we as the audience can't understand. :)

Imagine Amy having a go at singing it? How good would that be?

Awful.

Not really, no.

I would say that Ashley is more like a St. Jimmy/Murder City mix speed and Baby Eyes is more Murder City.

There's no song that fast or angry on this album. It's fast but more like Burnout or 86, there's more to the songs that just the tempo.
