Let's be honest. Dos is the best thing ever.

I must agree, ¡Dos! is possibly the best thing that has ever reached my ears.

My favorites in order (based off of 1 listen through):

1. Wow! That's Loud (Reminds me of My Generation, but it's totally fresh at the same time)

2. Wild One (such a relaxing song)

3. Makeout Party (Both Billie and Mike's solos were great)

4. Lazy Bones (Epic)

(Pretty tough to put the rest in order)

5. Amy

6. Baby Eyes (Sounds classic and modern at the same time. Pretty interesting)

7. Stray Heart (Would be higher but I heard it a million times already)

8. Lady Cobra (See Stray Heart)

9. Stop When the Redlights Flash (Love the harmonies)

10. Ashley (Critics loved it, but it's not my thing)

11. Fuck Time (Good song only when live)

12. Nightlife (Instrumental and solo are great. Didn't like the song though)

13. See You Tonight (Good in Context)

This will all probably change over the next few months.

Only listened to it once, but first impressions are:

  • Fucking awesome!
  • I absolutely love See You Tonight as an intro into Fuck Time
  • Fuck Time itself - LOVE IT
  • Lazy Bones is outstanding
  • Wild One and Makeout Party are alright, but kind of the low point of the album for me. Especially Wild One, it's over 4 minutes and never really gets going.
  • Stray Heart is up there with the best of the trilogy. Sooo good
  • Ashley is amazing
  • Lady Cobra is amazing
  • Nightlife is interesting. Not bad at all, but interesting.
  • Wow! That's Loud is pretty good as well, love the smashy ending. Certainly is loud.
  • And of course, Amy is a very moving acoustic, sets up the finale very nicely

I know I haven't really said why I do or don't like particular songs but I'll have to give it a few more listens. At the moment though I kind of think Uno is better. At least, it is the album I see myself listening to more frequently in the future. Dos, however, definitely lives up to its hype of being a party style album, I guess it's just that I'm not much of a party person

And I guess that's the best thing about Green Day - their albums are so diverse that their is pretty much a Green Day album for every mood I'm in. I definitely wouldn't want an entire trilogy of Uno style songs.

I'm off to listen a dozen more times :toocool:

See You Tonight reminds me of the Beatles

Someone else said Simon and Garfunkel, but it reminds me of Bob Dlyan :P it's a nice intro nonetheless.

Ok, listening to it.

See You Tonight. Good intro, but nothing special.
