andrearosef
Dos is my favorite, I think! Dos and Uno are kind of equals to me and then Tre is my third favorite. I see the brilliance in all of them, but still. DOSSSSSSS I mean Stop When The Red Lights Flash, Lazy Bones, Makeout Party, Stray Heart, Lady Cobra, & Wow That's Loud?!?! Mainly Makeout Party & Wow thats loud, seriously. Those two. <

solongfromthestars
Dos is still my favourite too. I absolutely love the songs I like on Tre, but not a fan of the rest at all. I love Uno but not quite as much as Dos. It's still the first album I've ever listened to where I don't dislike a single song, even after playing it a lot. And I never get sick of Stray Heart My top three are that, Wild One and hmm... a tie between Lady Cobra and Makeout Party. I already said this in the Austin thread, but I seriously hope they play Nightlife live one day just to so all the people who hate it crap themselves with anger. Karma would probably come to get me and they'd play Walk Away straight afterwards, but still.
DannyDirnt
To me ¡Uno! has only 5 really good songs, and 4 of them are consecutive: Stay The Night, Carpe Diem, Let Yourself Go, Kill the DJ and Oh Love. Those are the ones I like, and I love those ones. But I can't even listen to any of the other songs. Maybe Nuclear Family is the best of the worst ones I don't see how anyone can like ¡Uno! more than ¡Dos! or ¡Tré! To me ¡Dos! is like my favorite GD album tied with Warning. And it has ¡Tré! and Insomniac very close! But ¡Dos! has a special vibe. It has lots of energy and originality put into it. I love most of the songs on it! My least favorite is Baby Eyes. I didn't like Ashley at first but it's kinda grown in me, although it's not near to my top 5.
Hedwig
I just realized that the only reason I don't skip Nightlife is because I feel so cool when listening to rap. I don't even like rap.

I don't even like rap. can that even be considered rap though...haha -------------- ALSO, does anyone know if the record has been repressed with Stray Heart on the vinyl instead of Drama Queen. Cause I want to by a "normal" vinyl and keep my drama queen one unopened..
That Dude
Is the vinyl of Dos with Drama Queen on it valuable at all? I saw it and was tempted to pick it up because of that mistake, and the fact t that when I bought Uno on vinyl I won a contest where I won every CD by the band. For selling online, I'm not sure it'd be any more valuable for having one different track that is on another CD anyway.

Guest Trotsky
will dos's second single ever be released Probably no. Lazy Bones would be very nice as a single, though.
amdr182
Dos should have been more promoted. I mean, Uno has a couple of singles (Oh Love, Kill The DJ and Let Yourself Go) and music videos (Nuclear Family, Stay The Night and more), Tré has one single and 2 music videos (X-Kid and The Forgotten) and Dos only has a single and a music video, both for the same song (Stray Heart). Dos needed another single, Lazy Bones would be the best choice.

WhiteTim
Was the vinyl ever pressed with stray heart? Don't think so Mother Mary however is on vinyl so you could just listen to the better version on vinyl

Cob
Well I'm on the other side of the coin. Ashley is a great song, well thought out, menacing, dark punk rock. Baby Eyes is a little iffy lyrically, but the melody and the guitar riff, and the overall ambience of the song, cause it to be one of my favorites. On an album full of unique tracks they stick out like a sore thumb, but I think overall they're good songs, Ashley being the better of the two. Stray Heart is a favorite of mine, I love the way Billie Joe sings that song and I love the music behind it. He may not really say anything poignant about infidelity, but after 2 albums filled with sociopolitical opinions, did we really need another? I also enjoy the fact that he sings the song from a different perspective, any other artist would have likely written from the perspective of the person who is cheated on. It's about the experience, not an opinion about it. This mofo knows what's up. Does anyone care to enlighten me otherwise? I mean I can try but. solongfromthestars
If you can't feel Stray Heart with the faster music, this guy's cover does a decent job of slowing it down. I find "everything that I want, I want from you" a reasonably powerful line because I don't really interpret it as a cheap attempt at getting someone the narrator cheated on back, but as longing for someone he can't have. I can see why a lot of people can't relate to these songs like they did with AI or the older stuff about girls, because he is singing about a very different situation, but they do obviously mean something to Billie. I've seen him be on the verge of tears singing Stray Heart and you can hear the emotion in his voice on the Demolicious version. (I know this hasn't been discussed for ages but any chance to talk about one of my favourite songs )
Insomniac186
Why are people asking why a single from Dos was never released? Stray Heart was a single, released October 15, 2012.
BilIie Joe Armstrong
Why are people asking why a single from Dos was never released? Stray Heart was a single, released October 15, 2012. 'Cause nobody noticed. This thread is a dark place of GDC. Confession: I actually like Dos.
Insomniac186
I guess I'm lucky. Live 105 in San Fran always plays Green Day singles when they are released, at least for a little while. I remember hearing Stray Heart being played on that station. Then again, it is their home radio station.
