Annie, get your gun
Yes! I thought the same with Wow! That's Loud. Also you just answered my question of what I thought Stray Heart sounds similar to Haha And 27th Ave Shuffle is one of my favorites from Stop Drop and Roll!!!, but I think I prefer Wow! The Snark
I've come to the conclusion that Dos! is much better coming from speakers than headphones. But I think it'll be even better live. Since I've listened to it that way a few times, I've noticed a few new things. See You Tonight and the chorus from Wow! That's Loud remind me of their cover of The Who's A Quick One While He's Away. Also, I knew that the way he says the name in Ashley sounded like another song, but couldn't figure it out. It bugged the hell out of me. It's Reto! I've listened to it the first time yesterday and this bothered me instantly, I was looking on google if anyone every mentioned it. Didn't find anything. There's really something wrong with that line Yeah, you'd think the producer would've had him re-sing that part. OMG you guys Listen to "That's All Right" cover (B-side on 21CB) Billie says "stop when the red lights flash baby" what the fuck is with this phrase? Lol He's obviously a stickler for traffic laws. tdlyon
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/melissa-webster/green-day-dos_b_2080915.html I really like this review. They get a lot of lyrics wrong, but I love their interpretations of the songs.

AngelBlue_
Or it´s another synonym for "psychotic red alert". LOL now I want a song with that line: "red alert is the colour of the light, and I just wanna see the red lights flash, and I don't know If I'll stop or not" EDIT: ".....and my mind plays tricks on me....and I walk alone.... Till the lights turn green... " XD
AngelBlue_
Hey guys, Is Baby Eyes for Baby Cobra(from Mystic knights of the cobra) ?? November's Storms
It certainly makes some sense. Why write a song about one of the Mystic girls and not the other?
Kitty Purry
I feel like a bad stan i only listened to dos three times but that's because i cant stop listening to lana del reys new EP its so amazing! dos to me sounds bad in comparison (i know they're completly different but whatever) a lot of songs are so fillerish it feels like insomniac 2.0 i will listen to it more and hopefully it will grow on me but it never happened with insomniac so who knows fuck time, lazy bones, wild one, nightlife and stray heart are absolutly perfect though. Femme Gauche
yeah i don't know what Fink and Billie's problems are... Clearly sexual frustration. I actually like Nightlife a lot! It's grown on me more the more I listen to it. I love the sleazy vibe the song has going on. It's awesome It is very sleazy, yeah. it kinda gives me chills... Makes me feel like I am walking down a dark alley alone xP. Without the real danger.
Bastard of 1967
It is very sleazy, yeah. it kinda gives me chills... Makes me feel like I am walking down a dark alley alone xP. Without the real danger. Lady Cobra's rap is the devil on Billie's shoulder going "yeah, yeah, come on boy, I know you wanna do it...." The rap lyric near the end "I run the show" tells you everything you need to know: St. Jimmy is back, and it's not the "everybody's fun time" St. Jimmy. This time it's dangerous, and it's real. justcause
The feeling i've had for a while is that, after American Idiot and then the toll 21CB took on the band, Billie especially was desperate to break out of that little niche they'd gotten themselves into. He didn't want to be seen as a political band, or a boring band, or a soap box band; I noticed it first on the 2012 leg of the tour when things really started to get looser and more fun. And in turn, that's how a lot of these songs were born, I think. It almost seems like a desperate attempt at keeping hold of his youth, of proving he can be fun and spontaneous and that it's not all about politics or having a point to make. We've heard them explain these albums in that way so many times - "We just wanted to have fun". I kind of agree/disagree with you. Like, yeah to these songs being born out of a place of wanting to be free - fuckit it was absolutely the right thing to do, it was necessary ; the minute you feel like you're being defined is the minute you gotta refute it, 'deny the allegation as it's written'. The place they were at had become limiting, like a role they were obligated to fulfill, and sure as fuck they had to shrug that off, because it was stultifying to creativity - and I don't say never-never to Green Day making big statements or political comment, they could just as easy come back to it when it moves them, just not now. Now, in these records, they have their own agenda, and it's about their creative path. So yeah while these songs can maybe represent and express exile from 'youth', the fun and spontaneity is about that expression, not about the content. Times where they're revisiting their earlier stuff is not - to me - about desperately trying to hold on to youth, but about going to first principles, finding that place where there were no particular expectations of them, where they were free. I think that on these albums, they've totally succeeded in finding that free place - they are having fun, regardless of how dark the subject matter is.
