You realize without her rap it would just be Billie saying the same 4 lines over and over right?

Yep. And it still would have been better.

I agree with you, but I also just don't like rap.... Or maybe her rap in particular. Other wise I would have loved the song. Makes me sad.

It's indeed sad to be so narrow minded that once you've fixated on disliking something, you just can't loosen up to enjoy what could be a great song.

I don't especially like rap, either, and she sounds very sexy/provocative (as female rappers often do, according to my limited knowledge), but you'll either get there, or you won't. Green Day is experimenting, which is excellent and/or bad news for us fans, but I love it. I mean, I love that they are experimenting... And what I'm hearing is really good. And what I don't like at first... it grows on me.

that is the great thing, the difference and unusualness of it all.

Well yes, but at the same time, I like Green Day for a reason, ya know? I'm not saying I don't like it, I'm just saying I can see why people might not be too hot on it.

Do you not like the fact that the song has rap in it or do you not like Lady Cobra's vocals in general?

It seems if you want everything to be the same style, no one is stopping you from deleting it.

I like how much of a dick you can be for a mod. That's my opinion, and it is what it is - ALL opinions are narrow minded. Its why they're opinions and not fact. So lay off attacking everyone for their opinions, because that seems to be all you're doing tonight.

I don't really like her vocals in general. Not sure why, but her voice just doesn't do it for me.

You do realize that's not the point of what I'm saying, right? It's just that I mean, if someone is drawn to a band's sound, I can see how changing that sound might make you do a bit of a double-take...

Personally, sound-wise this record is taking me back to an era before I was born. It doesn't really sound like the Foxboro Hot Tubs for the most part. Just... old. But fresh, for Green Day.

Lyrically - and this is compounded by the way it all sounds - it just feels really dirty, especially for Green Day. I enjoy it, but I might play this record more in private than other Green Day records... *cough*

I couldn't get Fuck Time with my regular file extractor program on my computer, so I just Googled "online file extractor" ad used this site and it worked!

http://b1.org/online

You don't have to resave all the songs to your computer, just the one(s) you need, plus it's the same quality as it would be from the digital album. Hope this helps everyone else out!

Thank you!

I was just about to come here and bitch about that.

Ah, fair enough.

Seems like Nightlife is really dividing up the fans. It all settles down to personal taste at the end of things I suppose. At least you guys who don't like it can just delete it considering its only the one song.

Censorship is the culprit... maybe???

Doesn't make sense; I downloaded with no problems at all. I don't know if it makes a difference I am on a Mac... not sure the program that unzips files, all I do is click the downloaded zipped file and it unzips into a folder...

Ah, fair enough.

That's unfortunate, though, considering that this record is really solidly an album, it all flows really well.

It was amazing.

I loved it.

Baby Eyes was about my future husband.

And Fuck Time was just how I wanted it.

I loved the album, no words can express my feelings right now.

*insert gif here but no, I'm on my pc  *

I probably won't delete it entirely... Just set the rating on my mp3 player so it doesn't come up often. I don't delete parts of albums until I'm absolutely sure I can't stand the songs, but that's just me.

I'm just saying it seems like a waste to dislike a song because you won't open up to a genre you're determined to hate because of stereotypes. I'm not saying you have to love the song, but it seems you gave it one listen and thought "meh".

Also writing down my reply, is also an opinion against yours. It's called discussion.

Deleting songs off of an album is practically a sin to me. xD. If I don't like an album (maybe it was from somenoe else in my family but it is on my computer) I'll just delete the whole thing, but just parts of it? 0_0.

yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about Nightlife... not a big fan of it, but I don't hate it.

The rest, I loved

¡Dos! is already number 2 on the alternative charts on the US iTunes, holy shit!

Also something weird, the price of ¡Uno! got dropped to $6.40 or something weird, but I'm like 90% sure it dropped right when ¡Dos! came out.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, I was checking on my phone and forgot I already had some of Uno's songs on there, so it just deducted the prices of the songs i already had.

If you can listen to the rest of the album then that still doesn't make sense? It's not like it is the only song that talks about sex or has the "f" word. It's in the title, yeah, but it's called asterisks... IDK, that's just weird.
