I was cured by my grandmom using this therapy many times and it looked like this. There's really no reason to think that. People don't usually get cupping therapy because they're ill (and if they did it would just be an extra complimentary thing, it's not really something a doctor would prescribe). It's just a type of massage, a spa treatment that people get for fun and to relax. It's kind of a trendy thing over in California, a lot of celebrities and rich people do it.
