I know this has nothing to do with the song (which I absolutely LOVE), but...God, I can´t believe how incredibly BAD are the special effects of the twilight movies...Damn, it is 2012 already, and they can't even make a person running seem real. The Twilight clips, especially because of the special effects, are fucking distracting. I will fully admit to a bias against Twilight. However, I don't think my issue is based on a "Twilight sucks" mentality. It's that they present the band in a reflective, almost sad clown light that shows light moments but, in light of recent events, is also seriously reflective and I really enjoyed the studio/behind the scenes clips. But then they put in these clips from the movie filled with happy moments and (terrible) facial expressions from Robert and Kristen that do not match the song. And then the horrible special effects on the running is just so awkward. She's running and jumping quickly as a beautiful ballad plays. What? I knew we couldn't avoid Twilight clips in the video, but they could have picked ones that fit the song better, I think. This plays more like a fanvid, as others have said, where instead of a professional making a video fit the song, an amateur just combined their favorite moments from the movie with a song they loved just because they loved the song. Again, love the song, love the studio footage, but not so much the specific Twilight clips. ... the live clips were not needed, in my opinion. And this is also true. I think it would have been much more poignant (it is, but could have been moreso) if the intimate, reflective studio and personal clips were used the whole time. The live shots, while cool, didn't quite fit here. The only thing that bothered me is all this stuff using old footage seems incredibly posthumous ... I know they can't do a lot else but it even seems like they've scraped the barrel and are using footage that doesn't even fit. They didn't need live footage. Just studio stuff would have looked a lot less desperate. Take out the Twilight footage think of what Green Day is going thru and it makes me feel like its there last song and video. Yeah, that thought crossed my mind, too. I mean, given the current situation with the band that was probably inevitable, but I thought it. I hate that I thought it, but I did. I said it after listening to the snippet, but in the end, it's even clearer for me now: This is such a John Lennon song. And that should prove how awesome The Forgotten is. The video would be better without these awful personages of "Twilight" I don't know why but Green Day parts of the video in combination with such a sad song seemed to me as a "good-bye video" so i almost cried I want pretty much to see Billie Joe playing this song live on the piano himself ..and just remembered this. Couldn't agree more. I don't like Twilight that much but it's not like the worst movie I've ever seen (trust me). I don't get why it seems like a cool thing to hate on Twilight and who cares if Green Day's song is in the movie?! It's the kind of song where you think "Hm beautiful song" and then forget about. It hasn't got that thing that some of their other ballads have where you want to listen to it again, where it's stuck in your head and you can't get rid of it because it's hooked in your mind.
