greendepent
Apparently they didn't get their set cut, so who knows what happened. But they were scheduled for 45 minutes. That was the deal. Some people, like the big bosses prefers let the things stay clean and plastic, than dirty and real.
GuitarPunk94
i hope this gets cleared up soon..it must be rly serious if billie does this in such a important moment for the band...listening to UNO, especially DOS (party-hard-theme), and TRÉ will be completely different now in a way :/ if its rly so serious they should better postpone/cancel more dates and care for billies health instead of 'trying to do some marketing and earn some money'
21stcenturyidiot
I think it's gotta be a bit of both, I don't think Billie is snorting coke nightly, but the band built themsleves(and are named after) a day spent taking drugs, If it was just alcohol I doubt it'd be as serious. Get well soon Billie
~ Walking Contradiction
Serena Williams @serenawilliams I love you Billie Joe!!!! With all my heart. Trotsky
But they were scheduled for 45 minutes. That was the deal. Some people, like the big bosses prefers let the things stay clean and plastic, than dirty and real. If I had to guess, the set certainly was cut, and Clear Channel said to the label "tell them to fix this" and the label said that to the band. It wasn't like the clock was imaginary. Harinezumi
Maybe the stress of releasing/promoting the albums got to him. It's probably not as simple as we think it is, though. I hope he gets well soon!
Four.
ok, awesome for him. I will raise this bottle of Fireball Whiskey to him. I'm not even sure if you're joking or not. As someone who's lost family to "substance abuse", I can tell you it's not fucking funny. It's not a time to goof around about it either. Not attacking you personally, but the things I am seeing all over the place. UGH.
elisa
On Green Day's FB it says about postponing upcoming events rather than actually cancelling.. so surely this 'rehab' can't take too long? it doesn't sound like it's gonna take long, no. which is a relief, really, meaning it's not a severe case of addiction or whatever the exact term in this case is. i just hope he gets better soon. he's showing courage and maturity for seeking help and admitting to be having a problem. WestboundSign!
I'm feeling so weird right now, I can't even describe it. I wouldn't even care if they cancelled the whole freakin' world tour.. I just want him to deal with what's wrong right now. Let's hope he'll be fine again as soon as possible.. ColinOr
Green Day are pulling off all the publciity stunts this weekend. I see it as no coinsidence that they are all over the press all of a sudden and they have a new album out on Monday.

Four.
Why is everyone being all "It's JUST alcohol"?! How is alcohol better than any drugs? It's as damaging as any, and it's also as serious.
Homero
True or not, I think they apologized because of Warner... I think all of this is for Warner, but who knows, i hope he's ok

Malleus
Have we even heard anything about Billie doing harder drugs since he was on meth in like, the 90s? As someone who's lost family to "substance abuse", I can tell you it's not fucking funny. It's not a time to goof around about it either. Not attacking you personally, but the things I am seeing all over the place. UGH. As someone who has also lost family to "substance abuse" (like that makes my opinion more valid), I'm very glad I can always find the humor in situations and the next time I drink I'll glady drink one in hopes that soon Billie Joe can also stick to just drinking one. .katie.
Wow, I'm shocked. Like I didn't really find his rant odd at all, I thought it was hilarious. I'm just glad he's getting help for it.
Beat Poet
It's so strange. To have an apparent problem and still be able to record and (start to) promote three albums? They're at their most accessible now with Instagram and all their comments, yet not a hint of any problem until tonight? All these concerts, some of which have been widely regarded as amongst their best? Just totally fucking strange. I haven't been following the band much, so I'm not entirely clued up, but with the first album coming out soon, this thing probably got to a point where if it is resolved now, their schedule won't be affected half as much as it would be if BJ got right into the depths of touring, cracked up and then needed months and months out. nimrod-41
Best of luck to Billie. At least he's getting help. Fingers crossed it won't take too long, but I'd prefure to loose tours than to loose this man.

1039SweetChildren
But they were scheduled for 45 minutes. That was the deal. Some people, like the big bosses prefers let the things stay clean and plastic, than dirty and real. No, they weren't. We ASSUMED they were because we saw a 45 minute gap in the schedule between their start time and Rihanna's. They had a half hour just like just about everyone else and the extra time in between was to set up for Rihanna so she could go on time.
gerardsangel4977
Because it's better to know what you're up against instead of underestimating, and being surprised as fuck like with Amy Winehouse. Yeah, but there's a difference between telling yourself "It could be anything" and straight up jumping to "Oh, so I guess it was drugs then, not alcohol." which is what many people were saying.
