I would like to know from where you know that? i'm just curious
farley drexel hatcher
Where are people getting the news that he's home? Not that i don't believe it, just that they seem so sure, just wondering if i'd missed something.

eastbayweirdo
What do you do when something that has held you together for so long is broken itself? Nothing. There's absolutely nothing you can do but hope things get better or at least go back to normal. I guess I've been in denial. Since November 17th 2011, I saw that something was different, not necessarily bad though. Of course a new era is going to be different. That night and many other nights have put us on the same level in my eyes; as human beings. Human beings who fuck up and aren't perfect. When you're a child, immature and unaware, you only see the good in people. You don't see stuff like it is. Especially if its your hero. They're perfect in your eyes and can do no wrong. But as you grow up and start thinking for yourself, you see the ugly truth of life. No one should be put up on a pedestal and worshiped, especially a celebrity because they're just a person. Just like you, just like me. I guess the unaware child in me saw it as being invincible. Nothing bad could happen. That's not possible. That's just what they do, but they know what they're doing. As an adult, I know that's not true. I hope things get sorted out and that he gets the help he needs. It takes a strong person to admit they have a problem, but it takes an unselfish person to do something about it. Billie has a hell of a lot of people behind him for support so I know he'll be okay. Everyone can just stop speculating and spreading rumors and give the Armstrongs your love. This is clearly a very important time as well as a difficult time, so as fans all we can do is show our support and enjoy Uno as it is "officially" released. momoluvGD
I know he's not in rehab, I think he's fine and we should all just leave him alone. Honestly...
Alan86
He didn't appear drunk or totally out of it.. If you just watch his rant he doesn't look that drunk he just looks angry. If you watch their actual performance though he did look quiet drunk.
Lauren
He's not in Rehab. He didn't appear drunk or totally out of it.. he was obviously pissed off and took it too far. Their label probably freaked out and made up an excuse to cover their asses. Attacking that little douche Bieber is not gonna go down too well either. He was definitely drunk. Very much so. His singing was all over the place, he looked like he was about to cry the whole time, and by Basket Case, he could barely stay on rhythm. Never seen him like this. and obviously, the rest of the band was like "wtf??". even mike smashing his bass looked like he was doing it just so Billie didn't look as bad. I don't think he was really "attacking" justin bieber. i think he was just using him as a metaphor - like he's not justin bieber, some new artist, he's been around for years and deserves more time
mah
I just can't stand all these people that now are judging him, saying "He's 40, he has a family, he can't do this kind of stuff anymore, he made a huge mistake, he's a disappointment". They're even checking his pupils from the pics of the show to see if he really was doped! They're all making assumptions, even saying it's Adie's fault. Shut the fuck up! We don't know what's going on through his life! He may seem always cheerful and smiling but who knows what's on his mind. I was in Bologna when they had to cancel the show and even if now it's pretty obvious that it wasn't a simple dehydration, I just can't judge him bad. And it was the second show they had to cancel. It's easy to point the finger but we all have our problems and we all deal with it in different ways. I'm glad he's getting help, I wish him all the best. He'll be fine soon and Green Day will kick ass in this era
Lauren
If you just watch his rant he doesn't look that drunk he just looks angry. If you watch their actual performance though he did look quiet drunk. yeah, i went back and watched the first song and it was really bad... I mean, everyone's allowed their off days, but he gets wasted during FBHT shows and still sings pretty freaking well, which is why i'm so worried. EastJesusNimrod21
It's sad to see Billie on the front page of a major news website here in the UK "Green Day star in rehab after meltdown at gig" something i'd never of dreamt of seeing. Hopefully this is the normal thing where a newspaper or media site take's something completely out of context.
Cre Tool.
This might sound dumb, but I don't get it. What is 'treatment'? And what is substance abuse? Sorry for being lame
jorge.saintgd
hey.. im new to the GDC but been a green day fan for a long ass time.. sure it's not nice to hear these news, reading some comments made me worry a ton more.. had a terrible day yesterday, then stopped and realized some people are treating this as if he were in rehab or about to die?! WTF?! For our sake and for people who worry too much like me lets not be like the media taking CRAP out of context!! Lets just show some support for our hero.. at least mine LONG LIVE GREEN DAY #rageandlove
A song for the lovers
It's because if he needs help, things might be pretty bad. And if they can't help him, things get even worse. We obviously all hope that Billie gets himself sorted out very soon, but it's possible the situation could be very bad. That's why we're worried. I'm sure they can help him and there is nothing to worry about. He will be fine.

Elena
wow..by now i'm just confused...and kinda sad, i'd love to know the whole story and the truth or whether it's really like they say it is... anyways i think it's just wrong blaming anyone - whether it's iHeart, Billie or even Adie (where i still don't understand why anyone would blame her ) since we really don't know anything or whether they tell us the whole truth... sweetceci
Hi I´m new . Just heard the news about Billie and I am really surprised. I know he looked completely fucked up on the show but I didnt think it was that serious... hopefully he will recover soon (sorry for my english BTW) Since the IHeart thread is closed, I don't know where else to ask this but, did Billie say ''I wanna fuck you, you fucking Rihanna'' towards the end of Fuck Time? yeah, he also told Gwen Stefani he wanted to fuck her brains out backstage (I read that somewhere)

Lisa Garner
All I really wanted to know is if they are still going to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tommorrow...I saw the instagram photo, and just was curious, If he's in "rehab" why is there a photo of Cleo there? I hope that all is well and that the seeking treatment for substance abuse issue is minor. Lord knows I've seen it all working in my profession..Love Green Day and all the members and wish them well. uhleckseee
He was most definitely drunk. Was it as bad as they're making it out to be? I don't think so. We've seen Billie Joe worse. Exhibit A: The famous "She" video where he's obviously hopped up on something. I would consider that to be WAY worse than what happened Friday. Did the media go crazy after that one? Honestly, I have no idea, I wasn't paying attention back then. He may truly need help. And that's cool, all power to him. But to me, this seems like a PR stunt after a drunken performance. I could very easily be wrong about this though, I'm not one to judge. It just didn't seem that bad from an outsider's point of view.
Schlappy
my parents found out about this news yesterday and they always poke fun at Billie and the band just mess with me. I was expecting the worst but instead my mom tells me shes glad he's getting help because she was afraid he might get hurt. aww yay

It just didn't seem that bad from an outsider's point of view. i thought about that as well, also that Billie posted that picture with him holding a radio with the caption "I heart radio" the next morning, showing that he still has the same opinion, also: whether he was completely drunk or high, he wouldn't just make up a story that the set got cut short...to me it seems completely like a stunt to "rescue" the repution of iHeart and making an excuse for Green Day at the same time...though it might also be that Billie just needed help also before that and that they just now did that after the iHeart festival, cos he now really exaggerated it... i guess we'll never know the whole story and i really can't judge about that all, it's just what came to mind when i thought about it all... GDM
yeah, i went back and watched the first song and it was really bad... I have to say, and DJ Rosstar also noted this, but the sound was bad for the entire show, Lauren. Pink didn't sound so hot either. His performance may not have been the best, but the sound was poor for the broadcast.
imabout2break
This isn't the first time people saw him perform drunk. the incident, the news and reading people's negative comments saddens me. I'm just glad to read Adrienne's tweet and hoping for Billie's recovery. You're still the man Billie! get well soon. \m/ People can say all the bad things about them but i still f*cking love Green Day!!!
