AmberXONicole
connect the dots.... it was something more than booze, i even saw it. And i am putting a connection to it yes I know but without knowing what it is I'm not throwing ideas out there of what it could be. That's why I said I've seen him perform drunk but this time it was different.
EmmaCharlatan&Saints
Tmz have reported it now too. http://www.tmz.com/2012/09/23/green-day-billie-joe-armstrong-headed-to-rehab/#comments-fullwrapper
Fuzz
Yeah, Bill Schneider no longer works with Green Day. His last event was when they were in Europe earlier this summer.
GuitarPunk94
bill schneider left the band?! (did i miss sth?) *edit: what waas the reason? i guess as long as billie himself doesnt say/write, that this is his (his family) decisions ill be thinking its just because of the laws and stuff.. bloodsexbooze31
Billie hasn't looked very healthy the past couple months so this kinda makes sense
spark in the night
The iHeartRadio performance didn't seem that weird. It seemed like Green Day in Vegas. This seems like damage control more than anything. But regardless, I wish Billie Joe the best of luck. This is weird. No this was defitinely not a normal Green Day performance. They legit sounded awful. When was the last time Green Day played a poor performance?
DannyDirnt
Could someone summarize what happened please? On german, if possible No, not in german! I want to know too!
porksoda
There was no damage to control. Most people seemed to like it. Damage control as in their label and Clear Channel didn't like what he had to say.
~ Walking Contradiction
why did they say it on their site and stuff though? I mean, Billie has gone through drugs before but I don't think they announced it and said he was going to rehab
djrossstar
Livenation own like every venue and he is now a liability. They are probably afraid that he will do the same thing nightly and people will demand refunds. I love him and have been a fan for 18 years so if he is in trouble i hope he gets the help he needs immediately.
Micky
I hope Billie realizes how much he is hurting all of us right now and drops the alcohol for good. I can't bear this knot in my stomach. I'm sure his fans' feelings are not in his (or his family) priorities right now.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Shocking, but after some thinking not too surprising. It's no news that Billie hasn't exactly been straight-edge, every really, and I remember noticing him going side-stage a few times to do a shot or drink a glass of something that clearly wasn't just water at the MG show. Noticing it was quite a lot for a less-than-two hour show. Wish him the best of luck with treatment. It's good he's seeking help now, and not halfway through a tour where it could really break him up.
Todd
Yeah, Bill Schneider no longer works with Green Day. His last event was when they were in Europe earlier this summer. Did they get in a fight? Are they still friends? No more PHGP?
WalkingContradictionPL
I was happy that I'm starting uni and get Uno tomorrow but this destroyed my night. I really don't know what to say. However, I'm glad that he's getting help and won't end like many others who didn't get help in right time.

RokketQueen
It's a pity, but at least he's getting help. I will say I'm curious if it was his choice or an intervention type thing. The first step is admitting you have a problem. My sister had a drug problem, heroin. We did an intervention and she went to rehab....4 times. It wasn't until she came to us and asked for help that she was able to get clean. She's been clean for over 5 years now. So I hope that he's going to rehab because HE wants to go or it may not help. SynthwaveTrooper
We will never know the REAL TRUTH. punk-rock girl
I'm going to summarize all my posts in this thread in 3 easy points, and I'll be done with it, they are as follows: 1. I still think the iHeart rant was funny regardless of what fueled it, that does not mean I think BJ's problem is funny, but I appreciate the rant itself. 2. "Rock star has substance problem" never has been, never will be a scandal in the media (most people would say it's not even news) so stop worrying about it. 3. I wish Billie Joe Armstrong the best of luck in dealing with his addiction and am glad he has decided to. amen!

Dori_Epiphone
Do you wanna be a friend of mine Edit: I'm guessing it's not even near as serious as what lead to that song, but it just made me think of it and what made BJA relate to Amy. omg yes
