The Grohl
I finally have the physical copy in my hands but I've been listening to it all day. I really love it! I was a little skeptical at first when I heard Oh Love, but now I'm hooked. I can't wait for DOS!
Heather.
yes finally!! I have listened to all of these wonderful songs. Alright here's my faves from top to bottom Let Yourself Go / Kill the DJ - tied for 1st. These two songs have stolen my heart Carpe Diem Sweet 16 Troublemaker Angel Blue Stay the Night Nuclear Family Loss of Control Rusty James Oh Love While this would be very different from my ranking, I can't help but look at this list of songs and think "Jeez, I'm so fond of all those songs... and they're on one album!" ... but how could you forget Fell For You?? brie
Everyone please go to amazon and rate UNO to support Green Day. They are at #2 right now.
iRun
Is anyone else relying on FedEx to ship your copy? I ordered mine on Amazon literally the day pre-orders went on sale all the way in June... and Amazon is telling me that it will be here today. But if i go to the tracing number... it says that it wont be here until tomorrow. And I specifically ordered shipping to get it on this day. Help. have you recieved your copy yet? Still waiting on mine... Got mine today. It was overnight shipping!

Heather.
Is there a digital booklet that came with either the concert ticket Uno or the ultimate box set download? (I never buy digital downloads, so I don't know how this usually works). If so, where does that show up?
ohbabyherecomesthesound
I'm loving the album, it puts an end to AI/21CB era and beggins a new one. My favorite song right now is Nuclear Family, I just love it!
Homero
Today I buyed (or bought?) the album! I was so happy and excited because when I entered the music store there was a girl buying the album, and when we were around there, two guys asked us where we had bought the album so they can buy it too. It's always cool to see random Green Day fans Anyway, I love the album! I had already listened to it when it got leaked.
Heather.
I ended up getting the $5 mp3 on Amazon too because I happen to have free mp3 credit so I figured I'd contribute to Green Day sales I got the +digital booklet version, and was insanely disappointed that "digital booklet" meant 1 PDF page advertising Angry Birds. Seriously, WTF? Good thing it was no great economic loss.
1039SweetChildren
When I went by Target to grab a jewel case copy of the album today, it looked like quite a few copies had been purchased! That was exciting!
Femme Gauche
Finally listened and now I can't stop! At first it was Kill The DJ that really stood otu but now they are all starting to sort of pull apart and be distinctive. This album sounds liek what Green Day would sound like if they had come out in the 1960s (based on my impression of 1960s music of course, since I wasn't there ). The whole album sounds a little bit... beach party. And there are of course strong callbacks to other Green Day material and other material from other artists, but the combination of everything just sounds stellar. And I really love the lyrics, there are a lot of really excellent one-liners.Additionally... I don't regret listening to the singles, but I'm really glad I didn't listen to all of the songs separately because they work so well in order. EJN
After my first listen- I really enjoyed this album. Let Yourself Go and Kill the DJ sounded even better within the album. The song order was fucking awesome. Fell for You is one of my favorites also. It didn't completely blow me away but it was a very good listen and I can already tell the songs are going to grow on me in time. Only song I didn't like was Troublemaker. I like the idea but to me parts sounded like a worse fuck time or broadway. The reuse of melodies is a biiiit annoying but its not too overt. Carpe Diem with the Suffocate part is harmless, and Rusty James as a bit Scattered but its good enough to overcome them. My favorite thing about this album is the way they are employing new rhythms. Definitely some great new additions to the Green Day catalogue! I liked the production and I am so glad we can really hear the bass prominently again. The high end seemed a bit low but that could have been my speakers. By the end of the album I suppose the sound started to wear a bit, but not because of the songs. The fact that this is only 12 out of 37 is fucking fantastic. So many good songs. I will be back later to re-evaluate after a second listen . Green Day can do no wrong they are just incredible. And I am even more excited for DOS!
porksoda
I went to Best Buy for the deluxe edition and thought they were sold out. I asked a girl and she said she had hidden a few in the back and went and grabbed me one. I was so excited I like the album a lot, but personally, I think "Fell For You" and "Angel Blue" would be much better minus the lead guitar riffs. FFY is so close to becoming one of my favorite Green Day songs...

FFY is so close to becoming one of my favorite Green Day songs... It's really funny because the first time I heard Angel Blue I was so in love with the Clash-y guitar opening, but now every time I hear it I just want it to start immediately with the lyrics. But I think the guitar during the verses is fine, just the chorus riff is a bit boring. Fell For You I have no complaints
Mozzabillie
I have been waiting all day for Uno to arrive in the mail, UPS, or Fed Ex. I got the Ultimate Box Set with the Idiot Club membership and I don't know how they are sending it. I live in California and you would think I would get it today! I have the downloads but I still haven't been able to get it into my Itunes. It gets irritating to have to keep clicking on the thing to start the next song on my computer! I guess I'll have to go to the store to get the physical copy. It will help sales anyway. I know I could buy it straight from iTunes but I want the physical copy in my hands, too. I just feel like it doesn't fit the song.

Mine was shipped via UPS Mail Innovations....the slowest fucking shipment service ever (because it's cheap) I'm not supposed to get it until Thursday. That's weird that you can't put your songs in itunes. They're just mp3's. I got my download this morning and I was able to add them to my library. Lindsay
Are the lyrics in Kill the DJ really "holiest of holes"? I thought it was "holiest of old" and was trying to convince myself that that was it because holiest of holes sounds so fucking stupid, but I was reading the lyric booklet today and it indeed says holiest of holes. Needless to say, that song is not growing on me anytime soon.

And I am even more excited for DOS! I agree about the "re-use of melodies" being ultimately harmless because the execution is so fucking epic. Funny you don't like Troublemaker though (I mean, it seems people either love it or hate it - which, whatever, it's personal taste). I like it a lot. Never would have thought Broadway but also wouldn't think of that as a bad thing . We get to see inside Billie's head quite a bit with these songs. Which is both awesome and a little frightening . What the fuck does that even mean? I still love the song though.
