November's Storms
Had my first experience of this in the "real world" today on the radio. They were announcing the prizes/competitions they were running next week, and they're giving away a copy of iUno! every day! The DJs on that show are pretty cool and have good taste in music, and they sounded pretty excited about it. The most fun thing was though, that as well as the CD, they were sent an official bottle of Green Day iUno! hot sauce to go with it... For the Irish reading this, it was Dermot and Dave on 98fm

WrongWayToSalvation
NME never reviews Green Day well. Seems as if they make a point to continue doing so. Uh, what? They gave 21st CB a 8/10..
Drankolz
So yeah, I already have my iUno! Vinyl! Just got it today, it's pretty fucking great in my opinion! Billie Joe on the front Cover, Theo Stockman (according to the lyric sheet, but I concur if you state it looks more like Billie! Actually we figuerd out Stockman took the Photo, it shows Billie of course!)) from the AI Musical on the back cover, sporting Halloween makeup. Lyric sheet with pictures of the Band is included. Vinyl itself is black, side one is calles uno, side two dos. Interesting Fact: Jason White now is the 4th Member. Hes on the pictures, hes mendioned as guitar player. The guitar world interview quotes Billie saying that Jasons gonna be on Cuatro. Soundwise, Billie says the rythm guitar in the left speaker is him, the one in the right Jason. And you hear that, Billie play just so much more percussive. Soundwise the album features guitars that are barely distorted but still powerful. I like how that sound gives Mike Dirnt more room. Trés drums are as powerful as ever, and the cymbals sound more natural than on 21st Century Breakdown, great move there! As there are so many reviews for the single Songs, I won't go over that again. Nuclear Family, Loss of Control, Angel Blue and Rusty James are my favorites for now, that's all I'll say. Pictures? There!: (How do I put these in a Spoiler?) Josh100_3
When People said it was a throwback to their old stuff I thought yeah right...but this album screams Warning/Nimrod with a hint of Kerplunk and Dookie.
November's Storms
Please tell me I'm not the only one. People say it about babies, oh look he/she looks exactly like *family member* and I don't see it at all. People say this song/album sounds like Dookie, Nimrod, Kerplunk etc, and I don't hear it at all! I just think it sounds like Green Day and whatever album it's on. It's more to do with the old school solos which are all over this record and we haven't really seen since Kerplunk. The attitude reminds me of Nimrod and the Guitars are clean sounding (probably through a Vox amp?) which they only really did on Warning.
That Dude
I know that Uno doesn't have a "theme", but I have noticed something about the album. Every song is either about being in love, or being angry at someone. Nuclear Family and Carpe Diem are the only exceptions. Stay the night - love song Let Yourself Go - hate song Kill the DJ - hate song Fell for you - love song Loss of control - hate song Trouble maker - love song angel blue - love song sweet 16 - love song Rusty james - hate song oh love - love song so half the album is love songs, with four hate songs and two ambiguous ones. Todd
OMFG. If your gonna hate, dont rate. (lol it rhymes) Nobody wants to hear how you hate kill the dj. I for one like that song and i dont want to hear other people complain about it. This is supposed to be a positive thread, not a "ive been a green day fan for more years than you, so I know what the fuck im talking about.". Sorry if i'm being dickish, but im in the emergency room and not happy. if you want to bash green day, go get a job at NME. All I really care about now is ¡Quatro!. Adrienne took that pic and it was on her twitter after the Halloween show in New York last year. I think so to, but thats what the lyric sheet says. Its " Cover Photo: Billie Joe Armstrong. Back Cover Photo: Theo "Firecracker" Stockman. This Album is dedicated to Family, Friends, Fans & Punishers. " But maybe that refers to who took the photo, not who's in the photo? I don't know but it sure as hell looks like Billie
