Bastard of 1967
Just thought I'd post these reviews. I haven't read them yet, but I wanted to get them out there for people who may be interested. All five are good, solid, reasonably well-written reviews, yea! The standout for me was the last one (Altsounds) -- this one (describing Fell For You) put such a smile on my face I don't know where to begin: Not many bands can make a song romantic when it includes lyrics like "piss the bed" The only thing I disagree with in the Altsounds review is this statement: "The premise of the album trilogy seems pointless. As enjoyable as ¡Uno! is, there are no recurring themes and it is rounded off beautifully, so much so, you aren’t clamoring for a conclusion, let alone a second and third act." The albums were intended to stand on their own as well as together as a set -- so Oh Love by design has to function both as an ending as well as a cliffhanger, and the connections between albums will only become apparent to the casual listener after iDos! and iTre! drop. If Oh Love were tilted more strongly toward cliffhanger, the reviewer would be bitching about the lack of an ending instead.

However, I do really like when they said, right after that, that if DOS and TRE were anywhere near as good as UNO that this decision would be an absolute homerun and masterpiece!! Bastard of 1967
Jason's "cover" is pretty badass! Awesome. iQuatro! is either gonna be rarities/covers/B-sides yet to be announced, or it's gonna be the documentary DVD. Fuckin' A, Jason's a real boy! Sorry, my 5-year-old has had her Pinocchio DVD on repeat for the last MONTH, and I think it's fucking with my head now. Any idea why they chose to spell cuatro as quatro? It's like a mix of italian and spanish Audi product placement. #NotReally

Bastard of 1967
http://www.artistdir...-stars/10254021 Really positive review, UNO better than Dookie?? Wow, that one and Rolling Stone's are the two best I've seen so far. NME was the coldest and they seem to be in a distinct minority. Looks like most of the reviews are in the 4 to 5 star range.....yes!!

Homero
wow, that review is really positive, makes me happy in some way I dont think it´s better than Dookie, but I do think that this trilogy is going to be one of a kind (in a fuckin' awesome way). josh_oliday
So, I think after I get Uno! and listen to it a couple (hundred) times through, I'm going to do something I normally do after months of owning new Green Day stuff and listen to every studio album straight through. I don't know if anyone else does this, but listening to every song they've done straight through really lets you see the evolution and connections between them. Plus everything stays fresh because it's not the same 40 or 50 minutes. It'll be closer to 6 or 7 hours with Uno! Luckily, my job allows me to drive about 5 hours a day so I can easily do it in about 2 days. Oh but God help me when I attempt to listen to all 11 albums front to back...
