Some songs resonate with some people and others don't, but I think moreso than in past Green Day albums what hits home and what doesn't is all over the map this time. In that sense it's a much, much more "personal" album than anything they've done before, and I think the early spread of opinions reflects that. And Green Day is realllllllly far in their career so it's strange to me how more and more people will be listening. Dos and Tre have yet to come and they'll still leave room for oldies, I would suspect 3-4 from each album at the most. I would love to hear Rusty James live too though. But doesn't every album attract a new crop of fans? It does, but it's still neat to think that because of Uno someone could discover all of Green Day's other albums and have their life changed by the band, as we have all experienced. The fact that they've been doing this for more than 20 years and are still enjoying playing together and putting out new music is a testament to their longevity. Vinyl for sale in the window!! Pretty sure they have the cd version too. Couldnt go in as i had to drive my mum to the doctors and was late (hence the rushing) but its extra cool cos this is a very small independent shop that usually takes days/weeks to get in new releases!
