Just wondering: where do you hear the "alrights"?

I honestly think I confused it with some lyrics :P (but i swear ive heard some alright or something like that haha)

Tre's "SHUT THE FUCK UUUUUP!!!!!" in the second verse of Let Yourself Go right before the chorus repeats is the definition of awesome.

Edit: Correction - the definition of awesome would be if they do that live on the upcoming tour. :D

haha yea it's so awesome! I didn't know it was Tré.

Fuck this album is so good.

They're all so good, hard to pick a favourite. But at the moment I can't stop listening to Angel Blue, Sweet 16 and Rusty James on repeat. Those three just fill me with joy.

So proud of the boys and can't wait for the next installment.

The album is available in spotify now.

Ah if only the cd came at the same time as all the internet releases... But I can only blame myself for preferring real cds in these internet times ;)

So what you are saying is that GD have delivered what they said they would, eg throw the Marshall amps out of studio and stick them on the tour bus.

What im saying is it looks like they kept the formula but that if they are rethinking guitar sound they need to adjust all around, which they did not do.

The great thing about opinions is that everyone has one, and they're all worth roughly the same pile of shit in the corner.

Also, I happen to think 1039, Kerplunk and Dookie are three of GD's best albums. I know plenty here who disagree, particularly on 1039.

your right everyone has an opinion and when it comes to music it is hard to say who is right or wrong!, but giving a 9/10 for 1039 in my opinion is not very objective. Let me put it this way I love Nimrod, it was my first Green Day album but when i compare to American Idiot, it is hard for me to say that it is better than AI. What im just questioning is your musical objectivity when reviewing an album, as a pose to your subjective and passionate reviews.

i take every opinion here seriously. i just thin "oh this guy has a completly different taste, interesting".

yes my reaction might be a bit radical hahha, but its just as radical as his views on Green Day albums. This is my opinion;) im not saying im right.

Can anyone actually tell what Billie says in the Sweet 16 solo? It sounds like "so long ago " or something but I dunno, I guess it's one of those mumbles that we'll probably never understand.

If this has already been discussed I'm sorry, the thread has grown by about 10 pages since I last checked it.

Alright, I read through the first 20 pages or so of this thread, then gave up

So, it's entirely possible someone has already said this, but:

the songs surely have some potential. BUT: why do they record it like another warning?? where are the loud guitars, where is the gain, where is the speed? its a pure pop album. surely not a bad one. so good for the people who like it.

i wished every song would be recorded a bit faster with louder distorted guitars! anyone feels the same?

The production on this album is very different from Warning...not only that, but Warning was a very acoustic-heavy album, whereas Uno doesn't seem to have an acoustic anywhere in sight. Not really the most apt comparison to make, sir.

As for it being a pure pop album, the band have only mentioned that Uno was going to "Power Pop" about...oh....5 dozen times? It's fine if you don't like it, or if you wanted something different...but then why bother with Uno in the first place? We knew what we were getting. Again, not trying to shit on your opinion, just saying...this kind of feels like if you had some vanilla cake and then expected it to be more chocolatey :P

It's amazing how much better Oh Love sounds at the end of this album. Same with Kill the DJ, it sounds better in the middle of all the other songs.
