Bastard of 1967
Loss of Control is a dreadful song! No wonder we've not heard it! Not currently one of my favorites but I sure wouldn't call it "dreadful" either.

Alan86
I've seen folks here say GD has a 1 album contract but my sources at the label say not true they dont have a album by album but they re signed to a certain amount after 21st came out As far as RIAA and sales unless Uno Dos Tre all have the same exact bar code (which i exetremely doubt) then each album will be counted seperately Well I have no idea of what there contract is I was just using a hypothetical situation. And I completely agree, they'll be treated as 3 separate albums.
TheGrouch33
Loss of Control isn't terrible, to me it just sounds like "We'll try to do the Dookie sound even though we really aren't good at it anymore." your 20 but your mind is probably 15. Uno1Dos2Tre3
I really like the line ''This broken scene is turning green'' from Rusty James. As in, the (broken) music scene getting overrun by Green Day..

iScottie
Alright guys, I'm finally home from school for today, so I decided that I would give you my take on this album. I would like to start off by saying that my all time favorite album by ANY band is American Idiot. It was my first Green Day album, as well as the first rock opera that I have ever heard. My position will always stand that American Idiot is one of the most beautiful, lyrical masterpieces ever created. The listener is taken on a musical journey, where a picture is painted of the Jesus of Suburbia and all of his internal and external conflicts. With that being said, I think 21st Century Breakdown failed in a lot of people's eyes because it didn't live up to American Idiot. 21st Century Breakdown is a rock opera, but it isn't as clear as American Idiot was, in my opinion. Anyway, I didn't know that ¡Uno! was leaked until this morning. I was getting ready for school and I managed to download and burn a copy of this to a blank CD. I already listened to it twice on my way to and from school. Anyway, here is the review. Please keep in mind that I don't usually write reviews and I don't have a lot of experience with them, but here it goes! The album kicks off the right way, with "Nuclear Family", a song that says, "we're back and you're in for quite the ride!" in a matter of "5, 4, 3, 2, 1". It then precedes to "Stay The Night", a pure rock song with underlying love elements, perhaps about an old lover. It sort of reminds me of "Whatsername". Regardless, this song has the potential of being a great final song for a concert or an album, in general. It then continues to the battle cry of "Carpe Diem", which I feel is about never giving up regardless of the obstacles that you face. For those who have heard this song, it sounds very similar to "Before The Lobotomy". Next, the songs "Let Yourself Go" and "Kill The DJ" continue the album on its merry way. We have heard both of these songs before and I'm sure a lot of people can agree with me that they are "pure Green Day" - they tell it like it is. "Let Yourself Go" is more of a "fuck you" to all the annoying people, while "Kill The DJ" is a "fuck you" to all the new age shitty music. The album eventually takes us to a wave of new songs, beginning with "Fell For You", which begins with an instrumental riff that sounds similar to "I Fought The Law". This song is a mellow song with elements of daydreaming in it. I knew from the snippet Billie Joe showed off at the British Radio Station that it was going to be amazing! If it wasn't on this album, I can imagine it being on Warning. It sounds similar to the songs from that album. The next song is "Loss Of Control". I was not initially drawn to this song, but it has grown on me. It encompasses the same "pure Green Day" elements that are also present in "Let Yourself Go" and "Kill The DJ". The band just expresses their feelings and revisits places they have gone in the past. The next song, "Troublemaker", appears to me as the peak of album. The guitar riffs sound similar to "Horseshoes And Handgrenades". I can't really describe this song, but it's so catchy and it's so amazing and deserves numerous listens. "Troublemaker" transitions into the character prolific song of "Angel Blue". I didn't know how this song was initially going to be before man, oh man, it's great. It sort of has a rebel feel to it. The next two songs are songs dealing with memories that have long faded, but have never been forgotten. "Sweet 16" is essentially a look back on Green Day's career throughout the years, the people they met, and their journeys from California to New York and back, while "Rusty James" is a look back on Green Day's days on Gilman Street. These two songs are probably my favorite songs on the whole album. They are so emotional and real with Billie Joe pouring his heart into the lyrics, similar to how he did with "Wake Me Up When September Ends". It's great to see them reflect on the years and remember the past - from their days as brand new musicians to professionals selling out stadiums. Lastly, the album closes beautifully with "Oh, Love". I was rather bored of this song when it was in its "single" period, but I have a newfound appreciation for it. I think it closes off the album brilliantly, although I think "Stay The Night" would have done a great job, too. After listening to this album, I can say with affirmation that this album is AMAZING. As much as I love the rock opera theme, I love the idea of a trilogy. As of right now, I can rank Green Day's CDs in the following order: 1. American Idiot, 2. Dookie, 3. ¡Uno!, 4. Insomniac, 5. Warning, 6. 21st Century Breakdown, 7. Nimrod, 8. Kerplunk, 9. 1039 / Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, 10. Shenanigans (although it is more of a compilation album). What I love the most about Green Day is how real their music is. They are truly part of a dying breed of songwriting. They tell it like it is and they don't care what people think. Today, music is all about making a dollar and most of the artists have people writing their own music for them. These "one-week wonders" are not as personal and are not very cared for. However, I can't say this about Green Day. To conclude my rant, I really don't know what is going to be in store for the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tre! World Tour. If the other two albums are as great as this album, then Green Day is going to have a hell of a time making up a setlist for their concerts. I personally think that they should play all three albums for their main set and then for their encore, play about 20+ classic songs from all of their albums. I really don't know, though. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this album as much as me. For those who haven't heard it yet, you're all going to be in for quite a ride!
ThibautDookie
This is awesome but did someone noticed that the song before "Oh Love" at certain points it makes me think of a music in American Pie 1, when the characters get laid, there is a sweet music that plays in the background. Anyways, it really makes me think of songs from 39 smoothed
ash.loves.gd
I didn't like Rusty James when I heard it as a bootleg, but it just grew on me and it's a great song. There are a couple of songs I do not like so far, hopefully that will change. It's a great album though
