Sanity Loan
Just read through the last few pages and have some things to say (because I can't help myself) - Green Day were NEVER punk, or punk rock. The guys themselves are punks through and through, but the music they make has always been poppy. It's what separated them from the other bands at Gilman when the first started out, and why they've gotten so successful. Pop sells, punk doesn't. Saw this one post complaining about pop music for the last 20 years too... I mean, seriously? You've not heard ONE good thing in the last 20 effing years? Pop is still amazing, you just have to delve as deeply as you do in rock to find your favourites. Invest some time in the genre and there are artists to appreciate. Nobody quote me with a video of Nicki Minaj because that's not what I'm talking about! Anyway, up to Carpe Diem this morning, and the album is still as good as my first impression of it. Shows that it's not a fader after a while. Thank you

Sanity Loan
How old was Billie wenn he met his wife first? 1990 - So Billie was 17/18. I'm guessing you're asking because of Sweet 16?
Sarcasm
How old was Billie wenn he met his wife first? They met when he was like 20, in 1989 or something. But you know this could have been posted in the Q&A thread and not the album thread for Uno

frunsi
What? But they sound almost the same except for Tre screaming shut the fuck up in the background i don't like billie's vocals and the overall production (especially the drums). billie always sounds better live IMO
Sarcasm
EehHhh? Billie was born in 72? He turned 40 in February. Surprised that your hero is more than twice your age? I had Uno on repeat on my pc all night, I tweaked my audio to a cool EQ and thought I would dream a glorious GD dream. I didn't, but it was cool waking up to the music x)
That Dude
Angel Blue (formerly Teenage Blue/Angel Blue) has a huge Foxboro Hot Tubs vibe to it. Especially the "bloody valentine" lyrics. yeah!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Holy shit 43 pages in a day. iRun
Rusty James sounds like a sad song. However like Good Riddance I think it's a very bitter song towards all the people that didn't want them to sign to a major label.

iRun
Never knew Good Riddance was about that Good riddance was about a bad breakup Billie had. However people think its uplifting, when its actually really bitter.
Pieces of Truth
Never knew Good Riddance was about that It's not. It's about a break up with a Girlfriend that moved far away.

GuitarPunk94
if you have the chords/tab guitar that songs, please give it to me i want play that songs.... im sure tabs will pop up very soon ^^ How old was Billie wenn he met his wife first? ~17...the first verse of "sweet 16" is about the first few years when the relationship between him and adrienne began and the second is more about their relationship today and all this stuff that they are still together (i think with 'sweet 16' billie is actually refering to the 16th anniversary of their weeding)
