Why nobody says how extremely awesome and catchy Troublemaker is?

This album is awesome! And from all the reviews I had the view that it's the weakest of the trilogy

So many sexy solos!

Found them thanks guys. I thought you tube would be full of fake tracks . Stay the night sound over produced the vocals are tooooo good. The into riff lacks energy the live one sounds better more energetic and raw

I checked that and fell for you. Going to try resist till my box set comes

Does anyone else think that Rusty James sounds like Before The Lobotomy?

i hear scattered. straight up.

I hear both. BTL on the solo without a doubt.

Wow, this is impressive. Rusty James is prob my fav of the songs I hadn't heard before. Stay the Night sounds amazing (loving the hey oh in the middle  ) Have to admit Fell For You and Loss of Control haven't really grabbed me just yet, but that's after the first listen. Give it another few days and I'll prob be head over heals in love with them

I'm not as crazy about Stay the Night as everyone else is. It's good, I do love it, but the live energy just doesn't translate into the studio version. I don't think it's totally overwhelming or anything like that.

I really love the music, it's catchy as hell, but the lyrics are just meh. I mean, I'm not saying that they should be too complicated or have a social-political meaning, but I think that this song would be even better if the lyrics were at least on the same level with the ones of Cigarettes and Valentines for example

Oh Love to me is like See the Light. Song on itself would make a bad single, but it's an okay song, and it's perfectly fine as the last song on the album.

The verses sound like each other, too.

Definitely one of the funniest album I've heard at least in the last ten years.

I personally think that ¡Uno! is one of the best albums that these bastards have ever made.

And that's just the beginning =D

Second listen, still not blown away at all. It's just all pretty simplistic, and feels like a step backward. Hoping for more from Dos/Tré...

Listened all the way through once and having it on today when I can at work and I must say it's a great album. The songs all fit together wonderfully well, Oh Love is in the perfect place and makes sense now.

Really glad I didn't waste my time with the live bootlegs of songs, as some of you sound disappointed with the album. Sounds like you fell in love with the live versions and you were never going to love the proper versions like your first love.

Don't have a favourite right now, although I do like the sound of Carpe Diem, sounds great on record. Troublemaker has just come on, love that snarky tone to it.

There's something about Kill The DJ that reminds me of Restless Heart Syndrome... Could be the bassline or something

Lost Of Control is pretty good, the album so far doesn't feel so much rock music, its like pop rock but with solos, its kind of like a softer warning with more solos

Interesting seeing the reactions on here, it seems to have polarised some fans to some extent. On the one hand, some are enjoying the back-to-roots simplicity of it, but on the other hand, some are resentful of the lack of deepness, meaning and complexity in the music.

I'm glad I've saved myself to only the official releases (plus stay the night and Carpe Diem), I don't think that hearing the live versions first will ruin the album versions for me.

Really? I think that's the weakest track. JMO.

You have to love it at least after 1.35.

Anyways, I think, that I have to be in the right mood in order to love carpe diem....Until now, I just like Carpe diem... but it's nothing special

Better than 21stCB, East Jesus Nowhere is better than all these songs though, but 21stCB had worse songs than iUno! to drag it down.

sorry

My review for Uno:

Nuclear Family - incredibly catchy and one of my favorites from the whole album. I love how the album begins with the drums, sort of references back to Burnout (though not quite as in-your-face). Plus I do love me some bass solos, didn't see many of them on AI & 21CB?!?!?

Stay The Night - love the intro, the pre-chorus and the breakdown especially, though the verse seems to lack abit of energy (it just doesn't seem fast enough). Overall kinda average.

Carpe Diem - once more love the drum intro and the feel good factor that comes along with this song. Not overly complex (a summary really of the entire album), though this simplicity is exactly what we've all been asking for.

Let Yourself Go - probably my favourite. Absolutely love angry, in-your-face songs and I can really imagine myself screaming along to this when I'm drunk.

Kill The DJ - didn't really like this when it first came out (probably due to the horrific censored version) and I was really worried as to how it would fit with the rest of the songs. That being said, it''s really grown on me and I do appreciate the change of pace.

Fell For You - soft, sweet and simple is perhaps the best way to explain this song. If I had to liken this to any previous Green Day album, it'd have to be Warning.

Loss Of Control - grew on me; wasn't a major fan when I first heard it (just sounded like a ramble). The melody to the chorus is once again very basic (but good) and I adore the accapella bit.

Troublemaker - absolutely sums up the album: fun, poppy and care-free. Love the layered vocals - reminds me of Warning but on a very dangerous substance.

Angel Blue - oh the intro!!! powerrrrr!!!! love this song. that is all

Sweet Sixteen - not what I expected after hearing that shitty live recording from last year but none-the-less its very sweet and sincere despite the pretty awesome guitar riff. Not really my kinda song but I can see alot of people liking it.

Rusty James - my second favorite, its awesome!! structured really well, with a really catchy chorus and a pretty cool bridge. Also the stops on the later choruses help to emphasise the power of it. Some people say it sounds like Scattered. It does. And?

Oh Love - a poor first single but an awesome aalbum closer. Leaves you wanting more...

In Loss Of Control it says "crushing bastards" right before "stupid motherfucker" :shok:

The good thing about having no songs that fade into each other is that I can now listen to the album on shuffle. I can't do that with Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, AI or 21stCB. There is nothing worse than listening to something like AI on shuffle and after "Are we the waiting" getting something other than "St. Jimmy"
