What about that documentary that's supposed to come out ? Does it have a date ?

With Dos, I believe. Or when it's fuckin' ready.

Just listened to the whole album, and I must say, it exceeds all my expectations and more. Angel Blue has to be my personal fave at the moment. Carpe Diem sounds great in studio form and Rusty James is fantastic as well. All in all, fantastic stuff.

I really like the lyrics in Rusty James.

"I wanna ride on the divided, anything but the mainstream.

Where the fuck is your old gang, man?"

Billie's attitude is so true. All these punks he grew up with who are the same ones dissing the "mainstream", where the fuck are they now?

your wisdom far exceeds my own, I thought it came with the Uno disc to those who pre ordered the box set xD

Call me crazy but parts of the verse in 'Rusty James' sounds similar to 'Fly Away' by The Living End

(which is pretty exciting)

Alrighty! After giving it a listen on youtube, here are some thoughts:

- I really like "Rusty James", "Stay the Night", "Carpe Diem" and "Angel Blue". I also liked "Let Yourself Go" quite a bit when it was released and still like it, though there are a couple lyrical moments that I'm not too fond of.

- I'm going to be honest and say I didn't like "Troublemaker" at all, and the chorus for "Loss of Control" annoyed me for some reason. Those are the album's weak spots, imo. Still not too into "Oh Love" either, though it's starting to grow on me.

- Rest of it's pretty solid. I'll go ahead and add it to my CD collection when it's out. :)

I have probably been tripping too much LSD to give you a good enough answer.

I can't. I have to resist. I've been waiting for this since it was announced. I have to wait 7 more days...

Billie Joe talking about songs from UNO in interview in Guitar World

Rusty James

Billie Joe said in Guitar World "The song title is the name from a character in Rumble Fish" "The song itself is about my old punk-rock-scene and the survivors of it-the intial starters of that scene and how some of them didn't really live up to their promises and just became finger pointers alittle bit. And then they disappeared, and just the feeling that Green Day were still here, where are you? What happened to the values that you were bringing to the table? Now you're gone. All the things you were telling people to fight for, and you're not fighting for them anymore. So that's probably one of the more bitter songs I've written"

Sweet 16

"Sweet 16 is about being in a relationship for along time. The first verse is about the relationship with Adrienne when we first met. And the second verse is about the relationship now. And just how time passes, and kinda 'Wow, we're still here and still together."

Carpe Diem

"That song's about living in the moment. I think the older you get the more you appreciate your time on this planet."

Kill the DJ

"Kill the DJ is more a take on all these opinions you get when you watch television these days-anything from Bill Maher to Bill O'Reilly: culture wars and all that, the static noise that keeps coming at you. And there's that moment when you say "Shut the Fuck up", that's my take on it. Also, the song has a vibe of a party that's gone gross-the feeling that everyone's in the bathroom at the same time doing cocaine together."
