Did I say I was being negative, I was offering some advice :)

But you said "don't hate" even though I wasn't hating on anything.

Theres nothing wrong with pop music, its just pop music that has been mainstream for the past 20 years has been goddamn awful and tarnished the "pop" genre

Beatles are a fine example of a fantastic pop band

That's a very...large generalization on your part.

In my eyes punk is just a combination of "pussy" and "funk" :P

Ohhh, I bet that stings.

That was an amazing listen. I've been a Green Day fan for two years now, and never got to appreciate hearing a new album along with everyone else. It was always a long time after it came out.

I've listened to each song on the album at least four times now, and I can't stop!

Nuclear Family was awesome, like always. Stay the Night is even better than the live versions, which I never thought would be possible. I don't like Carpe Diem much, but I never did. I always found it a bit bland. Let Yourself Go was fun the first 32765743675627895 times. And it still is! Kill the DJ is a little lame, but it's a nice change in the album. Fell For You was one of my favorites from the radio show, but I was a little disappointed at how repetitive it turned out to be. Could have used a guitar solo.

Loss of Control is maybe my favourite song on the album. It's so fun and catchy for filler material. Seriously, its smack in the middle of the album (Pretty much). Troublemaker is also a lot of fun, even if Green Day's done it 2 times before. Great solo! Angel Blue, in my opinion, is the least memorable on the album. Not the worst, the least memorable. After four listens, I can't remember anything about it other than it was fast and awesome.

Sweet 16 is a nice little song. It's not that memorable either. Rusty James sounds a lot like Scattered, which is one of my favorite Green Day songs. So, I love it. Oh Love, in my opinion, is the worst song on here. But, it works well as a closer.

So, there's my little review. Overall, I love the album, but it just doesn't feel like a Green Day album. I can't explain it- it feels weird. But stoked for Dos!

And one last thing- if this were the only album being released, I'd be really dissapointed.

Billie Joe said in Guitar World "The song title is the name from a character in Rumble Fish" "The song itself is about my old punk-rock-scene and the survivors of it-the intial starters of that scene and how some of them didn't really live up to their promises and just became finger pointers alittle bit. And then they disappeared, and just the feeling that Green Day were still here, where are you? What happened to the values that you were bringing to the table? Now you're gone. All the things you were telling people to fight for, and you're not fighting for them anymore. So that's probably one of the more bitter songs I've written"

Sounds like an older, more mature cousin of '86,' which makes me very happy.

Lady gaga is awesome and you know it.

Also, there's is a pop-punk club for anyone interested in that sort of music.

I'm not gonna listen to it until I have it in my hands. I think it's more fun that way. Although I may not have it the day it come out. :/

Oh love is the perfect ending to the album, just fucking perfect.

Seems most people agree that it's a fantastic ending song and a sucky choice for the first single :P

Really though.. how excellent is the flow of this record?

none of the songs lead into each other like AI or 21CBD if that's what you're asking.

It doesn't have to be legitimately fade into one another to have flow.. I just meant it seems to progress really well. Feels natural.
