Sleeper Agent.
To anyone who isn't bias about Green Day's work and who has listened to it, should it be fair to base the album on the singles or do the non single make the album great? blitzkriegdeb
Sweet 16 has a lullaby type feel to it; it's so gentle and sweet (in a Green Day way). I wasnt expecting it at all, but it's so beautiful.

I'm torn on this. I like Oh love, but NOT alone. I feel it needs to be played after 20 minutes of bad ass, fast paced songs. It's only then I can enjoy it, so I'm liking the album a little less for choosing oh love over stay the night.

The three best songs on the album, imo, are Stay the Night, Let Yourself Go and Rusty James. Only one of those is a single. I will say this much: Oh Love is not as sucky when heard in context of the entire album. By itself, it's a boring song. Tied in with the album, it's not bad. It's a good "release" song, kind of like "Whatsername" or "See the Light" (which it makes several lyrical references to), but will never compare with the three songs above. sampy
On this second listening time, I noticed that the guitar solo in Loss Of Control kicks so much ass.
Vespertine
Why does it make you crazy or a bad fan to listen to the leak? We're getting the official album because the majority of us good fans like the CD's and also to support their favourite band. Doesn't really make a difference if you're gonna do that and want to listen to it now... Plus, I'm sure most of us have already pre-ordered it anyway. Elena
For me it's only lovable when it's the end of an entire playthrough of the album, I don't care for it alone and I despise the video. But after a really bum thrust album like Uno turned out to be, it's a really nice song to tune it all down after all the energetic songs. + As Andres has said, Oh Love is much better live, and I concur. haha agree, the video is shit ...probably the worst one they've ever done, but the song is great and i agree with you for most parts... well, i also like the song alone, without the album, it's just not their greatest, but i still love to listen to it;) ...since i didn't listen to the complete order i can't completely judge about that, but i'm sure it's a great ending then ...and yeah it's an amazing live song

Sleeper Agent.
Well the album has a similar feel and sound so yes, but in my opinion the singles were bad choices. Ok, I second the motion that the singles were bad choice, not even listening to the album
Guest
Ok, thanks, then I'll probably be inclined to buy the album now. I was planning on doing so anyway. I'll have more organized thoughts later, but my general feelings about this album are positive, which is a pleasant surprise after Oh Love and Kill the DJ left me thinking this was going to be a Warninged-out mess of a record. I thought the album may have been a let down, based on the singles, but all the positive comments have swayed my judgement, but I'll listen to the full album on youtube, after it's released to see what it's all about before I buy it, due to the fact many people would praise it only because it's Green Day
Harinezumi
Can I just say that I love everyone in this bar!!!! I've lost count of how many times I've listened to the album. Winamp player is telling me that this is the 6th time already, doesn't really feel like it! I can't believe we're getting two more albums in just a couple of months. Vespertine
Not a fan of Angel Blue though. That one, along with Oh Love and KTDJ, are my least favorite songs in the album.
