Does anybody know where I can download the Japanese bonus track for ¡Uno!?

It's the Red 7 version of Let Yourself Go. You can download the video of it on iTunes.

Still on my first listen but I'm noticing a LOT of recycled riffs.

Troublemaker sounds exactly like the 21st Century song that goes 'I'm not fucking around'

Will reserve judgement until I've heard all but so far does not seem to be hitting the heights of the last 2 albums.

I have always loved Greenday and although they have songs i listen to more than others i havent found one song that i dont like and Uno, well it didnt dissapoint me .... i like that its different but still simerler to older stuff there is a Greenday song for any occasion .......... my fav songs on Uno are "Stay The Night", "Nuclear Family", "Fell For You" and "Kill The DJ" and super excited for Dos to come out ..... they say all truley great things are imortalized and i think that Greenday will live for ever, long after the boys leave us they have become a classic misfit F the world bunch of guys with awesome talent and legacy of music and uno has just added to the legacy

To quote a fellow Greenday fan .......... "Greenday is a Gateway Drug to the History of Punk" and i agree

Whenever I hear the guitar solo in Angel Blue I keep thinking of the guitar solo in Letterbomb. Except for the end, they're damn near identical. The first time I was like, "Wait, what song am I listening to again?"

It actually sounds more like the solo to Know Your Enemy, seeing as they're in the same key. They have that similar alarm sounding thing Billie does but he does that a lot live anyway.

I barely listen to Know Your Enemy (it annoys me), so I'll have to give it a listen and see.

I'm in love with that album! I think it's a great album... the songs are awesome with a new style and cool sound. I think it's good that they are renewing their music because if it always was the same it was boring.

I love the energectic songs like troublemaker, let yourself go, loss of control. Each of the songs is amazing.

So after listening to this album for a month I'm finally ready to review it track by track.

Nuclear Family- This song opens with a great guitar riff and leads into a 3-minute awesome track. Unlike 21st Century Breakdown's opener, Song Of The Century, this song lets listeners know that they are in for a wild ride. Fans of Mike's bass riffs will be glad to find out he plays some awesome ones in the second verse and bridge. 4.5/5

Stay The Night- People have been wanting this one since it was first played at a soundcheck in 2010. When it finally came, it instantly became a favorite. This song opens a little slow but is soon followed by awesome verse and pre-chorus. The chorus has amazing harmonies and is extremely catchy. The song then goes into another verse, pre-chorus, and chorus before going back into the opening now with some bass and drums. Then a cool guitar solo. Even a hey-oh. This song is definitely a favorite. 5/5

Carpe Diem- A BATTLE CRY! Opening up with some drums and punchy guitars and bass, this song keeps the energy going. The verses are slightly boring but the chorus is just something that you'll want to sing along to. Another favorite. 4.5/5

Let Yourself Go- Are you tired yet? Waiting for a slow song to relax to? Well, I hope not as this is one of, if not, the most energetic tracks on the album. Don't listen to this one with your parents around. This song has an "F You" attitude. The verses are great and despite the repetitive chorus this song is another favorite. 4.5/5

Kill The DJ- This track was described as a straight up dance song. It is something different for Green Day, similar to Misery in Warning. The song has a chorus that is really repetitive but enjoyable. Like the last song, this one has a lot of F-bombs. 4/5

Fell For You- After having two tracks that curse more than Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. we have a nice love song that reminds you of the earlier days of Green Day. The riff in the verses is amazing. The harmonies are extremely beautiful. When we got a snippet if this song from a radio interview, I knew that I would love this song. 5/5

Loss Of Control- This song was completely in the dark before the album dropped. I'm glad because it was a great surprise. This song has a "F You" attitude like Let Yourself Go. This song sounds like it would fit with Insomniac or Nimrod. 5/5

Troublemaker- We got a snippet of this song from Green Day's Angry Birds game. The riff is like Nimrod's All The Time and Prosthetic Head meet 21st Century Breakdown's Horseshoes and Handgrenades. The chorus is repetitive. The only good thing about this song is the guitar solo really. 2.5/5

Angel Blue- A fan favorite. This one is a fast song with as much energy as Let Yourself Go. Despite the love for this song, I find it to be one of my least favorite tracks. The chorus is very good though. 3.5/5

Sweet 16- Another great love song. The verse and chorus dream wonderful. The solo is amazing as well. Some dislike for this one around the community but I think it's great. 4.5/5

Rusty James- I was extremely let down with this one. After so much hype about how great it was, I couldn't believe it. This song is like The Dark Knight Rises for me, I expected to like it but I hate it in the end. The guitar solo was predictable to me. As soon as heard the first note I knew how it was going to go. I do give praise to the pre-chorus though. Other than that the song is a skipper for me and I don't understand why it's considered the best track by some. 1.5/5

Oh Love- The first single. I was pretty disappointed when I heard this song since it was the first new song I've heard with the exception of Stray Heart. It was slow and repetitive. On a positive note, it does work well as a closer and leads into iDos! well. 2/5

In order from favorite to least favorite.

Fell For You

Loss Of Control

Stay The Night

Let Yourself Go

Carpe Diem

Kill The DJ

Sweet 16

Nuclear Family

Angel Blue

I don't know if you were joking there or not, but I never thought it that way

The lines "You're just a fucking kid and no one ever gives you a break. You wanna señorita but now your heart is gonna break" confuses the hell out of me. I don't know if it's supposed to be about a girl or a boy... or a guitar... :ermm:

I hope that after the entire trilogy has been released we will have a poll of the top songs of the trilogy (like we had with the all time favorite).

Like top-32 (or top-16) get through and then we have the head-to-head voting again until we have a winner.

And if I would rank the UNO! songs that I enjoy the most then Angel Blue, Nuclear Family, Let Yourself Go and Troublemaker have to be up there.

I just understood that like a "the kid" doesn't think he gets a break in life because 1. his parents or someone doesn't let him do things he likes to do (unlikely scenario) or/and 2. He's just unlucky in life and his decisions (more likely)

The 2nd sentence is that he (it is a he) wants a senorita, i.e. a girl (at least in this context) and because he doesn't get a break, his heart is gonna break as well, as the girl either doesn't want to be with him or leaves him.

So for you it is about a boy... Most probably it is, after "You're a princess, I'm a fucking clown" could be pretty obvious. I guess what's confusing me is that first he talks like "about himself" but then about somebody else.

Uno! has some songs that will stick on you from first listen, like "Nuclear Family", "Let Yourself Go", "Kill the DJ", and "Oh Love", and there are also some that'll grow on you, like "Stay the Night", "Carpe Diem", "Loss of Control", and "Rusty James". "Rusty James" just so happened to be the song that I "grew to love". Some songs, like "Fell for You", and "Sweet 16" really didn't quite move me, but I still appreciated. Overall, I've listened to this album enough to forget that Dos! is upon us! Then, you remember that there is a Dos! and you get all excited all over again!

Here's my score for each song on Uno!:

1. Nuclear Family: 4/5

2. Stay the Night: 4.5/5

3. Carpe Diem: 3.5/5

4. Let Yourself Go: 4/5

5. Kill the DJ: 4/5

6. Fell for You: 3/5

7. Loss of Control: 4/5

8. Troublemaker: 3.5/5

9. Angel Blue: 3.5/5

10. Sweet 16: 3/5

11. Rusty James: 4.5/5

12. Oh Love: 4/5

Raw score: 45.5/60

Overall: 3.8/5 (or 76%)

BRING ON DOS!
