Marrymebilliejoe
GRAMMAR POLICE! It's a noun. What is happening with Tre in your sig?? Apparently, he was trying to stop that camera guy from getting all up in Billie's face during his rant. But that's just the story, not sure how valid it is

.Holly
I've seen a few times on here that Fell For You reminds people of the pre-Dookie era stuff. What song(s) does it remind you of and why? I'm struggling to hear it, but I think it might be because the production quality is very different to the older stuff. I'm finding it hard to hear through the clean production sound of iUNO! I'm finding it hard to hear through the clean production sound of iUNO! It's not that it reminds me of one song. It's the way the guitar sounds. I can't explain it. It's like quick short notes. Okay yeah, I meant what is it about the song that reminds people of the pre-Dookie stuff. Hmm, I might re-listen to Kerplunk! just now
Femme Gauche
Yeah, Fell For You does have that Kerplunk/39 Smooth (happy, Billie? ) vibe. For me it is the lyrical content and the melody and harmonies. The solo in Let Yourself Go really sounds Kerplunk/39Smooth-ish.

Homero
Some melodies remind me of the pre-dookie stuff, like Fell For You and Sweet 16. But it's more like the melody, not the music. And like @DannyDirnt said, the quick short notes.

Femme Gauche
They clashed some old styles into the song and new styles to the songs... When I first read this I thought it said "dashed" and I was picturing a giant mixing bowl with all of the "ingredients" to the trilogy. Some old stuff, some new stuff, some booze, some fun... etc . xP.

Neon Light
Yeah I also just absolutely love this record. Carpe Diem is so inspiring and uplifting. It truly is a "battle cry". Angel Blue is also a song I really connect to lyrically.
