I'm hoping to travel the USA for 3 months in summer 2014! It'll be just my luck if Green Day are touring the UK whilst I'm travelling the USA! :/ I wish they could announce all of their dates for the next 2 years so I can plan everything around them! haha

haha i'd laugh if we all planned our trips to the USA (or some maybe elsewhere) and then they announce their dates and no one can come cos we're all anywhere else  (okay pretty impossibe that all fans are anywhere else but still :P )

but yeah i also hope they announce all their dates soon...or at least soon enough :D

The 10 July, Green Day will play at the Festival de Nimes Arena

Are they the only band who will play at this date?

Because on the "festival's" website, they only mentioned Green Day for this date :ermm:

Going to go ahead and book tickets to see Green Day in France on 5th July. Really can't see them announcing a UK tour now. :sorry:

Green Day have just popped up on efestivals as a rumour for Reading and leeds. They are always rumoured to be there pretty much every year so I have my doubts but with the lack of dates being announced in the UK you never know.

They would be a strong headliner for the festival as well.

Isn't Reading and Leeds usually in August?

Really? I somehow can't see them doing it this year :/ if anything, I think it'd be next year because of the big Dookie and AI anniversaries. However I'd love them to prove me wrong, last years turn out in the tent could have stirred something.

:shok: but it's in August...I thought that by that time they would have played in Australia or South America. If it's true, they won't come to Europe just to play at R&L, right? It wouldn't make sense, unless they played other shows in the UK. Anyway I've found this on the forum

Personally, based on not a lot aside from Reading changing direction somewhat, I think the 3rd headliner will be more 'pop' than 'heavy'.

Someone is telling me that it's Green Day, based on gossip he's heard from others (who might know, but often don't). I find it slightly hard to believe, but at the same time don't think it's impossible - tho I've yet to do any checks on it. I will of course be doing some checks.

Can't see them doing reading tbh, they did it last year. I don't think they'll go further afield until 2014, I'm guessing/hoping after going back to the states in the autumn they'll do a winter arena tour in Europe and go to Aus/Asia/South America in 2014.

it's a festival but it's actually like a "normal" concert! the special guest are yet to be announced :) the concerts start at 8 pm so there will probably be only a band before GD

So, I've noticed quite a gap between the one UK show in London and the previous and next show. To be more specific there is two days without a show between Vienna and London, and three days between that and Rome. Do you think the tour is completely set in stone or do you think another show will be added in between those dates? First of all I find it extremely odd that Green Day only has one scheduled show in England. Even though it's a big stadium show, England is a huge place. But futhermore I don't understand why there is not even a show in cities like Dublin or Edinburgh. Taking into consideration the events that has gone down since last summer, Billie Joe did after all say "We'll be back for a full UK tour" at the Shepherd's Bush Empire show. What do you think? I'm postponing booking my flight in case another UK show should be added between May 30th and June 4th.

There are several gaps actually. They play in Arras (France) on July 5th and then in Nimes on the 10th...I don't really know what they could do. Maybe they will add the UK tour dates in those gaps (a couple of concerts after the Emirates, a couple after Arras), but what are they waiting for?!

Yeah, I think there's got to be some sort of show to fit those five days between the shows in France. I guess one or two UK shows would make sense.

All this speculation is making me nervous because i've started booking travel  I know it's believed that they'll be heading home after Germany as it's Joey's graduation..?

Yeah, but there's still five days between the shows in France in July.

I've started arranging travel too...but I still don't understand why Green Day would miss Ireland out of their European tour unless they're going to announce more UK dates and throw and Irish date in there too.

If they are to be open air shows, one Irish and one Scottish would make sense!

:runaround:

ARE YOU SURE???? :runaround:

When yeah, this would be awesome

But the distance takes 6 hours for me :ermm:

The distance isn't so important, but my dad's birthday is the day after the festival :sorry:

As far as I know, you aren't allowed to play Reading and Leeds twice in two years. Not sure whether this applies Green Day though since their set was only a surprise one in 2012.

I'm sure it starts at 8 because it's written on my ticket :P the opening band usually play an hour or so, and then GD :)

I didn't know that...but that must be a reason for this "delay". I think there are three possibilities:

1) they will play in Autumn, so it's too early to announce the dates

2) they will play Reading and Leeds and 3/4 normal concerts in June and July (between London and Rome and after the first French date)...maybe they are waiting for the Reading line-up to be revealed (early March?) before announcing the full tour. It's unlikely they will come to Europe just for Reading though

3) Reading and Leeds and then arena tour in September?

:runaround::runaround::runaround:

Now I have to choice between this festival or the Mainsquare Festival (where 30STM plays at the same day :D )

I don't know to which I should go :sorry:
