Maybe they will say something about the Tour dates at X-Games?

I asked them this question ;-)

I made a promise to myself after missing so many of their UK gigs that on their next one [this one], I'd see them 3 times. One in London, was as close to me as possible & one as far away as possible. I still want to do this but with only 1 announced date [that is now selling general admission for so far out of my budget I want to cry], it's kind of hard.
Bummer.

I know what you mean. It's kinda similar for me. Saved up money for about six shows which ended up to be one single in Vienna now. I'm 16 - it's impossible for me to go see them far away and that alone. What a bummer.

sorry, didn't read the second tweet (thought it was only about bon jovi :P). Might be than, but they'd probably tease us a little more if it is in fact about Green Day.

The Who are announcing a tour on Monday, but here's hoping the 'american rock band' is Green Day.

and I don't think Green Day would do a "massive" arena tour so...let's hope!

I always say I'll never get my hopes up when I see posts like these. And then I end up ridiculously excited about announcements that never happen :sorry:

This ugh.

Think I'm just going to deal with the fact that I'll have to wait a little longer to see them again :(

That's what I've been adapting to, but now with this tour speculation I'll end up getting excited for that, only to find out that it's a different band next week. Then I will go back into 'oh, I'll just wait a bit longer to see Green Day again, that's fine, I guess' and then there will be another rumor and it just goes on and on. This isn't fun I tell you. Need. To. Stop. Getting. Hopes. Up. Over. Every. Little. Thing.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but there is a high chance this could be Green Day. I was on TicketSoup, the website for Glasgow's SECC/Hydro Arena, and if you just type "G" in the Search box, the band come up. The same happens if you type in The Who.

Hmm what do you mean? If I type "G", Green Day is the like the 10th band that comes up, it happens in every ticket site.

I don't know if there's a similar thing in the UK, but on TicketOne they add the bands that are about to announce a tour in the homepage, in the "ticket alert" section. I only know Gigsandtours and Ticketmaster but yeah if you know other sites try to check it.

btw Stereoboard is talking about concept albums on twitter, and they wrote that The Who's Quadrophenia is the best etc. This could be a hint for the "massive" UK tour which will be announced tomorrow. let's hope they will do the same for Green Day.

I tried other bands I've seen at the SECC recently and they didn't show up. I know it sounds like I'm clutching at straws, but I just thought I'd share, probably wrong, but it's nice to hope eh?

That's actually a pretty good find. They indeed seem to list only bands which got an upcoming show there (except for The Who/Green Day).

Edit: little bit of research shows that they've been in that list for months now, so it doesn't really say too much.

 Getting my hopes set up high for something which probably isn't going to happen *yay*.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow/tuesday, they seem to be key days for Green Day announcements.

I seriously need to stop getting my hopes up over every little thing that happens though, it never works out in my favor.

Getting ready to go absolutely apeshit when they announce dates tomorrow or Tuesday morning. My parents, brother and neighbours will just have to deal with the amount of noise I make.

Please, please, please Stereoboard, don't let me down...

The Who are almost definitely announcing a UK tour tomorrow, guys. I'm 99% certain. It's just whether Green Day will also be making an announcement, we don't know...
