European Tour

Also, if anyone finds something out from the guy on efestivals could they let us know? I'd like my mind to be at ease.. :/

I'd ask him, but I've already wrote him like 3 times since July  I think he hates me now

but you should try to ask him, or at least see if someone on the forum knows something about future festivals and concerts in general and ask them (another guy wrote about the postponed announcement in September, not the admin...there's a "Green Day UK tour" thread on that forum, check it)

Future UK dates, at least according to stereoboard, look a distant prospect. Sent an e-mail saying: 'Hey guys,

I'm just wondering whether ye would know if Green Day are planning to add any more UK dates or an Irish date apart from the emirates show?"

and received this back

"We don't know of any extra dates, sorry.

Cheers,

Nigel Sachdev

I then proceeded to tweet Warner Music Ireland and they responded with this: "No word yet but we'll post any confirmed developments “@purplebenny: @Warnermusicirl anyword of further Green Day uk/Irish announcements?”"..
suppose we wait and hope..

Cheers! Least that clears it up a bit more..

Yeahhh that's what I checked, there was loads of talk about it a few months ago but not really anything has been posted recently :/

I kind of hope they make the UK tour in Autumn this year or early next year, now. Just wish we wouldn't have been so misled with the first announcement from Radio 1 :(

Some hope there :c maybe they might add some dates before the first one in May and make London the bigger show? Idk. Really wish I'd bought an emirates ticket now!

ya was nearly sure they'd add at least an Irish date.. genuinely deflated right now.. :/

Hmm...if we don't get any news on the UK tour soon, I might have to end up going over to France to see them again. Hope we can get it cleared up soon whether or not it's happening before I waste all my money. It's all worth it though :D

I know it wouldn't be a waste. It would just cost a lot to get over there, and then, knowing me, as soon as I'd spent all my money, Green Day would decide that it would be the perfect time to announce some amazing MASSIVE UK tour (maybe this is wishful thinking but  )

You know you can get megabus to france for £1... so i've heard :P

Depends how late you'd want to leave booking your stuff. But they do tend to announce things at the most inconveniant times

POSITIVE NEWS! POSITIVE NEWS!

also, in my e-mailing time I sent one to MCD, the irish promoters who organise all these dates.

They sent me a response saying

"Hi Ben,

While over e-mail I can not confirm or deny a Green Day show taking place over here in the summer, I can at least say that purchasing a ticket for a show in Europe could prove to be quite costly and not entirely necessary, simply watch our Facebook, particularly next week. That is all I'm at liberty to divulge right now.

Thank you for your interest in our events and we look forward to seeing you shortly

I always end up getting my hopes ridiculously high and get far too excited and then nothing happens...

Good job on that! :)

I wouldn't get your hopes up for a long UK tour yet though. Might also be just an Irish date. Which would also be great anyway.

An Irish show would be fabulous because I had to sell my Marlay Park tickets and it was the most heartbreaking thing ever.
