I think the organizers decide the prizes. But the tickets are damn high, i paid 62 € for the Rock am See ticket and there were 7 bands and not only gd :D

I paid 58 just to see Green Day and two support acts I didn't like :P

Mönchengladbach was too far for me, and i was happy that GD played a show in Baden-Württemberg, they never were there :D

i cant believe you all are ok with this two classes creating: people who can afford can have fun in the front and all other people, no matter how early they come, can't get close to them? i don't wanna play the punk-rock card here, but giving better places to those with money is just against everything they are (were).

and warner is their record lable.they have nothing to do with playing shows.

yeah sorry, meant the organizers :D ...anyways...with that making differences between first rows and back rows is probably a thing of the venue...the prizes in general are usually up to the organizers...

I do not agree with that, because when the European tour will start, I'm out of school, searching for universtiy and i won't have that much money. But I'm happy that they'll play in Europe and I'll wait until Arena-Show announcements are released because i won't go to any festival. I only want to see GD. And i meant the organizers of the show for example the "rock am ring" organizers make the prices.

@ elena: thats just not true. if you have mones you don't care obviously.

even if i could afford it easealy i wouldn't go, cuae its just an asshole move to exclude green day fans who are not willing to pay ridiculous prizes.

@ nemO. if its a festival like rock am ring im not saying anything. but it seems like a single green day show. they get a contract and can decide: yes we do it like that or no, equal prizes for all. id say 50 euros for all would be expensive but a limit i could accept.

Yeah. You're right but we can't change anything. In an interview Tré said the money they gain with record-sells is decreasing because of the illegal downloads and so the ticket price has to be higher that they make the money... sad thing :( and the true fans like we have to pay double because WE BUY THE CDS VINYLS AND WE PAY THE HIGH TICKET PRICES TO BE IN THE FIRST ROW...

Wow Serbia! Is it a rumor or is it confirmed? I'm happy for the Serbian fans!

Maybe they will play a show in Slovenia too? :shifty:it's about time!

Or maybe some people were saving money by giving up buying some stuff they wanted to get jut to have the opportunity to buy golden circle ticket. But this is my point, I don't want to argue.

i know other bands. with the same popularity, with higher popularity and with lesser popularity. and in all groups the bands that i respect won't make the true fans pay more to see them in the golden circle. its something completly different with cd/vynil. the prizes are standard, cant complain there.

i think its disrespecting your fans to do that. and i only can go to bands where i know they are some nice guys. green day was that way all the time.

but people change. and if they change that way now, i'm very sad about it cause i love them.

it is like a relationship: if someone is turning into a character i dont' like, i can't love them anymore. even if its heartbreaking.

i will wait how things go with their german shows. if its their idea and so go on to do those sales, im gone. they keep a place a place in my heart, but its just a way i can't go on with them. not for personal reason, but because of moral and ethic reasons....

"another turning point, a fork stuck in the road... i hope you had the time of yur life"

again: its not cause i cant afford it, that im pissed. its because their thinking. its against my ethics. and it was against theirs once, too. if that change i just can't call them one of my favourite bands anymore. a quote from the singer in your ava: "no matter how good the music is: if i know someone is an asshole i can't enjoy his music."

i don't wanna piss you all off or something. i'm just so disappointed. maybe some people can understand, maybe some dont. thats ok with me, just wanted to express that diappointment here.

Is the golden circle ticket just for the austria show or do they sell the tickets for other shows in europe (soloshows, not festivalshows) ?

I hope for another show in germany, i won't go to rock am ring only for Green Day (there are too many bands i don't like) and hope austria is the only show with golden circle tickets.

Green Day most of the time just follow their labels decisions, nothing really new here right. They don't like twilight, yet they're still on the soundtrack, they probably don't like MTV anymore , yet they're still premiering video's on MTV, and we can go on forever.

I doubt they're going to make a real fuss about how tickets are going on sale for each concert they play. Each country has a different organising agency behind their concerts, so they all set up different prices and rules. As far as I know, the Austrian concert is the only one with separate GC tickets. I have to agree with you that it sucks though.

yeah but those other changes are things that are hard to like but they dont affect one thing: the fans.

thats different right here.

i personally have absolutely no money for any concerts and my parents won't pay me much, i'm happy if i can attend one or maybe two concerts, cos if the prizes are too high they won't let me go to any concert, i'm still trying to convince my parents that i can go to Rock im Park, but they said it's too expensive and i have to save up money for my driver licence :( ...and when the concerts are also expensive, i most probably couldn't afford it to attend any...or maybe just one (if i don't go to Rock im Park, then maybe 1 or 2) and i still don't blame Green Day...

also Green Day is already the band with almost the cheapest tickets around (if we take such famous and successfull artists as GD), even if their concerts get more expensive in time, they're still pretty cheap...

this.

a 'regular' ticket for the rolling stones in london last month varied from £100 - 400, vip was £1000. That's before they were re-sold on ticket websites!

I get they've been around for 50 years and can get do whatever they want but still. I want to see them at some point, just so I can say I have but I wouldn't pay that much!

Green Day put on a better and longer live show than artists you'd pay twice as much for. That's good enough for me.
