silviagreen
Why would he be reading a German newspaper? If they're on a flight to London, English papers will be available. He posted that photo 10 hours ago (8 am in Japan), it takes 12 hours to fly to Europe from Tokyo and they had a concert last night in Osaka. I think that he was still in Japan (probably at the airport) looking at foreign newspapers and saw that German paper with a Pussy Riot article.. .Holly
There's a plane from Tokyo arriving at Heathrow at 10.13, next one isn't till 14.50 and then 15.40. If he posted that 10 hours ago and it takes 12 hours to fly, then one of those later flights seems more likely. Of course they might not be flying direct to Heathrow! Now we have to figure out if there was any flights to Tokyo from Osaka a couple hours after they finished at Summer Sonic, which they could've made. or did they fly to osaka first this morning...hmm. i'm going with the latter
Tashidge
Woke up a few times during the night, just to check Twitter. Ugh. They just need to hurry up and announce it, for the sake of everyone who's having heart attacks on this thread.

Then Tokyo-Heathrow seems most likely to me! Unless they went Osaka-Somewhere else-Heathrow or Osaka-Tokyo-Somewhere else-Heathrow but this seems like a lot more effort as theres probably regular flights between Osaka/Tokyo + hence easier (well more flexible) to make their connection. Isabel
I'm wondering through what agent will the tickets be sold. Seetickets maybe? Or could it be the venue itself? I assume the Idiot Club will get a small allocation if this goes ahead...
Martyn
You lot figuring out plane times have officially lost it I've only researched it in case i coincidentally booked a flight into heathrow that might've arrived before theirs (note: i didn't ) Latest arrival at Heathrow from Tokyo today is 16.20 lets presume that's them then...watch billie tease us with a photo of the airport or an english newspaper/monument or SOMETHING and be like "sup england?" :angry
hansyhobs
They are going to want to cause a lot if excitement when the make the announcement so I'm sure it'll be made during a peak time, so people can stop worrying about waking up in the middle of the night. Either 9am or 7pm are pretty optimal times in terms of PR I'd say.
emilyy.
I had Radio 1 on in the background about half an hour ago & they played Kill the DJ & Fearne was chatting about how awesome they are blahblah & then mentioned if you're a fan listen to Zane's show on Wednesday or something. couldn't really hear as I was in the shower, but yeah. this sucks coz I'm off to Reading tomorrow morning (obv a good thing too!) but this sounds like the announcement to me! It's a 12 hour flight, even short flights are pretty pricey! If they were doing an arena or stadium tour it might make senses cost-wise, but pretty sure they usually fly commercially. (i just remember a photo of them in the airport from june 2010 about to fly to europe) And there's the whole environmental thing, they probably would prefer not to jet off everywhere privately cos of that as well. It's not liike they don't have the money though. I don't think there's any way of telling if they're going to fly to the UK privately or on a listed flight. Maybe they'll fly to France and get the ferry over, how do we know?

There's no time for the first act on the NME stage on Saturday (where Green Day were rumoured for) http://www.readingfestival.co.uk/line-up/artist/post_war_glamour_girls Guess they'll be on first, earlier than usual. Then Green Day.
