*withoutadoubt*
...I want that. That shirt looks awesome on so many levels. I love the colors! I love the colors, too!! Everything they are doing now just seems fun, even down to the merch. It's like Foxboro is being infused right into Green Day.

Dirnt_y
I've been going onto Reading festival for 4 years, every year waiting for green day to headline. And every time, slightly saddened that they weren't there. Finally, my wish has come true. Green Day, I will see you at Reading 2012. Fuck. Yeah. DecanoLP
Maybe they'll be playing a secret show there. I remember Die Toten Hosen (maybe the biggest German band) appearing in the parking lot at Rock am Ring a few years ago which was announced in the morning of the day
San Miguel
It's great news for anyone going! I think Friday is a safe bet since they play Paris on Sunday - but i hope they announce the day soon so people know whether or not to pay out for a ticket. It's also still rumoured that a secret show in London will be announced for this Thursday. Day tickets are around £78 - £85 so it'll be pricey, but worth every penny. VivaRomy
Day tickets are around £78 - £85 so it'll be pricey, but worth every penny. Just a word of advice about tickets - I went to Leeds Festival for the day in 2010 and my ticket was almost £100 with fees/postage added on. For anyone considering going to it, it's worth shopping round online to get the best deal, usually the independent retailers (that are officially endorsed!!!!) give you the best price, Reading should have these listed on their official website. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if tickets are on the door collection only by now, given the fact that the festival is less than a week away. tomdsjames
Sorry if it's already been answered but... Reading Festival is twinned with Leeds festival, even the surprise acts usually play both. Considering nothing hasn't been mentioned for Leeds then why are we all so certain that they'll be at Reading Festival and not just a club in Reading? Holly
Makes me really sad cause I go to Leeds every year. If I'd had even the slightest hint they'd go play Reading and not Leeds I'd have gone there instead. Gr. Hopefully I'll get to the London show though
GuitarPunk94
so maybe we will see a london (secret show?) before reading, and they will be at reading at 24th or 25th Aug
Mary711
I always thought that it was pronounced like 'reeding'. Me, too. Sorry if it's already been answered but... Reading Festival is twinned with Leeds festival, even the surprise acts usually play both. Considering nothing hasn't been mentioned for Leeds then why are we all so certain that they'll be at Reading Festival and not just a club in Reading? Interesting thought. The Disappearing Boy
If this is true I will quite simply kill someone. So I hope it isn't. The fact that it has been removed from GDA makes me happy though. Does anybody know how much time it takes to get from London to Reading? An hour or so by train (depending on what part of london you're going from).
anniewoo
it's £92 for a day ticket. fuck that. also, you turn up at reading noone knows which stage they'll be on. if i don't get to go to the london show i'll hav to wait for the proper tour in 2013. StuckWithRob
Keep telling myself at a festival they won't play as long as on tour, it'll be all the popular songs and they'll be loads of people there who aren't fans, all for double the price of a tour ticket. Save your money for the tour... However if they were at Leeds I'd go in an instant , Reading is too far

alexwetherell
How do we know for certain that they're playing the festival and not a venue in Reading? I know the festival does make sense as its this weekend but there's plenty of venues in reading they could do a smallish surprise show..

I know the festival does make sense as its this weekend but there's plenty of venues in reading they could do a smallish surprise show.. I thought that too, but then they're supposedly playing a secret show in London too, and the 2 cities aren't far away from each other. So 2 secret shows in such a small distance would be a silly thing to do. If that makes sense?

I know it'd suck for everyone at the festival, but I'm kind of praying it is because that'd be awesome and I might actually have a chance of going. Guest
Maybe when Billie said the "shredding" thing he was referring to both festivals? because they are usually known as "Reading AND Leeds". If that makes sense? Either that or he didn't know what rhymed with Leeds.
Comrade
Makes me incredibly annoyed I didn't get a Reading ticket. Fuckberries. This does raise the stakes of a show in London this week though....which I mentioned to my parents....who offered me money to go see it if I can't afford to. I'm definitely sitting this one out for a little while longer till we know more.
