Green Day Play At Reading Festival

Yeah, I saw that, I didn't really believe they would. I could see them doing that in a secret show, not at Reading festival, where many people there weren't huge GD fans.

That's exactly what I thought too. I don't think I would have coped if they played the whole of Dookie in front of a load of people who didn't know it when people like us were sitting at home not able to go =/

do we know what time?

8:00 pm GST apparently :)

Will they air the whole show or just clips of it?

Just clips of it I presume. The show is dedicated to The Vaccines and Florence and the Machine I believe. They'll play a couple of their songs though!

They seem a bit less active than usual, less playful. I don't know if it's that they need to go back to the tour routine, if it's the song (Oh Love is not St Jimmy XD) or just the inevitable effect of time (they are no longer adolescents) but it kind of makes me sad starting to notice that they are aging and, some day, they won't be able to make so amazing concerts (though I hope that day won't come in a loong time).

You wouldn't be saying that if you were at Shepherd's Bush on Thursday!

it's GREEN DAY. you shouldnt be surprised. like they've said themselves "they do whatever the fuck they want". i kind of think that's pretty fun. i dont see the problem... im sure the other bands got enough time to play

You don't see the problem cause I can tell you've never ever organized a festival or ever performed shows show organizers spend months planning and setting up the shec for the events they are also got a time limit to deal with a band pulling an asshole move like playing over their allowed time THROWS off the shed u realize the organizers could sue GD if they are really pissed off my friends band played the small stage last year Reading contracts are very thoro and strict with time (Reading 2013 is already planned and set) i mean i wouldnt complain cause i love GD but as far as business i can see why the organizers are upset...
