LudeBoy
I can't hate anybody with a mohawk like that. However, I strongly disagree with you and I would like to hear your reasoning. I would put Last Ride In waaayyyyyy ahead of this for worst Green Day song. Haha reasoning? DISCO.
Bastard of 1967
reasoning? DISCO. Takes balls to do a four-on-the-floor disco rhythm and then title the resulting song "Kill the DJ". Gotta give 'em props for that, at least.
The Pedestrian
Everyone should just shut up and admit that its awesome....

WrongWayToSalvation
you can hate me all you want but this is the worst song green day has ever released. Brain Stew is more repetitious than this. What about Know Your Enemy? Or Stuck With Me? Kill The DJ has a lot more to it than those songs. The only reason why people praise Stuck With Me and Brain Stew is because they're old GD songs. Stuck With Me is as simple and as generic a Green Day song as you can find. Brain Stew is just one riff (not even a very original riff) and 4 verses, one of which is repeated as the last verse. I bet if either of those two songs were released as a current single, then people would say those songs were too repetitious. It's just different from Green Day, it's not "punk". Which none of GD's music is that "punk" to being with, so there's no point complaining. Also when you say something along the lines of "this is the worst___ever" you should really put IMO or something at the end of that, otherwise it makes you looks like you believe you're speaking fact, when you really aren't. You're voicing your opinion, which is fine. reasoning? DISCO. But...that's the point of the song. That just means you don't like a particular genre. If you dislike Nightlife and say it's a terrible song because it's a rap influenced song...then that just means you don't like rap. It doesn't really reflect the quality of the song. Personally that's my most anticipated song, because rap is one of my personal favorite genres. It's the probably amongst the most experimental genres there are, because you can dabble into any music genre with rap. Dance, Dubstep, Funk, Rock, Reggae, Classical, Jazz etc.
Jorik Van de Ven
Today i was listening to Kill The DJ on a dutch radiostation. When the song startet i heard Tré saying: I'm Tré Cool from Green Day. Keep listening, or I will kill you! (started)
Heather.
I like this song a lot, so I didn't expect to have to say this, but I fear the reason this song's not hitting me as much as the live version has something to do with the production Like whatever weird filter seems to be hanging over the vocals :/ I don't really get it, but this is the proverbial "I blame Butch Vig" moment. Except it's Rob, and those words would hurt me to say
tabbycat1596
I haven't had time to post about it, but I've already listened to this a few times and I really like it! Very different feel to it as far as a Green Day song goes, but I like that groovy feel it has. As far as whether or not I like this more than Oh Love, I do. It's still far from being one of my favourite Green Day songs, and I still don't really like it, but at least live it doesn't bore the life out of me. GreenRanger
Damn this song is still in my head! I think that's a record for any of the new songs, and why not? This thing has an infectious beat and uber sexy guitar sounds oozing out of it. I'm really loving how they're still using tricks they pulled from 21CB so it sounds like an evolution rather than a complete leap back to their routes. I really want this song to do well on the charts, in the world, and at life in general. It's such a pimpass song.

Hero_Of_The_Hour
Kill The DJ sounds nothing like the Green Day i have listened to for years and years... but it is absolutely fantastic. Kinda wish it was as fast as it was live (or is it my hearing?) but i love it...it is very Clash-esque and yet very unique as it has a Green Day twist. On its own i might understand some fans fearing that the Trilogy may sound completely unlike anything the guys have done before (maybe in a bad way) but combined with Let Yourself Go (old school GD) and rough recordings of songs like 8th Ave Serenade (love love love it) i think we can rest assured that they are gonna mix experimental/not-your-typical-Green-Day-sound with old fashioned in your face punk (or whatever you want to call it ...don't even go there!) that will please the mohawks among us. Now excuse me while i go listen to this for the 11th time today (i am not even joking...and it's been twenty-something since yesterday!)

farley drexel hatcher
The hardest part to get into with this song is the chorus. The verses are a lot more interesting. The chorus is essentially the same thing repeated three times each, which is really irritating. I do love the song, it's catchy as hell, I just wish lyrically it (the chorus) was a little less boring. If it wasn't for the swearing it would fall flat completely. dumb shiny bitch
I fail to see how people go ape-shit over the explicit version! I mean yeah, the swearing makes it a little more in your face, but does it really transform the song that much? I love both versions.
WrongWayToSalvation
This makes no sense at all. The reason I like these songs is because they sound good to my ears. What makes no sense is saying that Kill The DJ is more repetitious than either of those 2 songs. Green Day songs are reptitious. When I Come Around is 90% composed of the same riff over and over again.

It mainly as to do with the vocal effect though, it gives the song a more sluggish sound.
