Guest
I don't get it... How do people hear Auto-Tune ? Maybe pitch correction cause everyone uses that in the studio. There is a small effect on his voice but I don't hear the auto-tune. Especially since I mix alot of songs.
oda
It's a lot slower than i thought it would be, but i definitely love it.
Nzap
My only thing is that the ending is really repetitive, even in the explicit version. But aside from that, I really like the lyrics to this one much more than Let Yourself Go and Oh Love. Looking forward to hearing the unedited version, which I'm sure I'll like better. I like the ending. I know it's much of the same but I actually like the chorus despite the repetitiveness.

Kaddi.
Just out of curiosity... Could someone maybe post an example for an auto-tuned song? I'd just like to know the difference since everyone is talking about it and I have no idea about all the technical stuff.
drugstore hooligan
Auto tune IS pitch correcting thats the whole purpose of the program... i have no problems with at or if GD wants to use it Auto tune have their own brand of pitch correction yes, but not everyone who uses pitch correction is using auto tune, there are different brands such as melodyne etc etc. And there are subtle differences. When most think of auto tune they think of cher and her robot voice. Not that it matters. All of Green days records for the last decade have been pitch corrected. I have no problem with it neither. Zelda
MY GOD. Can we PLEASE shut the fuck up about the autotune/pitch correction/whatever? That argument is going nowhere, and it's getting annoying.
alienlifeform
the music is awesome but the chorus... and now we all know the first 5 tracks from UNO! and we all can say now this would be the greatest album of this new decade so far
BringMoreKnives
Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities in the Bible that were like, really sinful and evil or something (that's where the word "sodomy" comes from), and I don't really know the whole story but I think they were struck down by God because of how decadent they were. "Century of thrills" just kind of adds to the image of us living in a cesspool of waste and sin. And I like it. Ah, I see. thanks. Let Yourself Go > Kill the DJ > Never Gonna Give You Up > Friday > Oh Love About sums it up, I think. Oh come on, Oh Love isn't that bad. Not as good as LYG and Kill the DJ, but still. Heather.
Anyone else think its ironic that the censored version is ten times more graphic than the original? Suffocate and drown is soo much more inappropriate than motherfucker in my opinion.

It's quite unbelievable that a "foul word" is much worse than a graphic representation of killing someone.
Kaddi.
Any mainstream shitty pop song. Mhm, okay. I think I still don't get the difference then, but I don't care that much anyway. I was just curious.

I was just curious. you'll notice if a song is autotuned if there's a big difference in the artist's voice in the studio song, than when they sing live. I personally hardly hear any overly done auto tune in this song. Billie sounds just like he does it other songs.

pieterv
This is so typical, people hear a "difficult" word, start using it wrongly and then you get the arguments where these words are being used and you're not even sure what the other person means because you don't know what meaning the other person has given to the word. People need to understand that not every voice effect/distorted voice is autotune, far from it. I think it's the (slight) telephone/megaphone-ish effect on his voice that make people scream autotune this time. Anyway, if they used autotune in Kill the DJ or Oh Love they did it tastefully imo because I personally can't hear it. And now about the song itself: I'm relieved after listening to the Soundcloud interview + song, much higher quality than Youtube and the song packs a bigger punch that way, album version will only make it better And Oh Love is great, stop bashing it for fucks sake ><

Kaddi.
the quality isn't that bad... but if you think different ok.. to me the songs sounds so great and it will just get better in studio First of all, I think you can't say anything about an album before you haven't heard it completely. Secondly, there will be three albums, so you can't say which is the best until you've heard all three of them. Plus, live versions often sound very different from studio versions, so I don't think it's possible to judge an album based on live records unless it's a live album. So without any regard to the quality of the live records we have, I think it's way too early to say that Uno will be the best album. you'll notice if a song is autotuned if there's a big difference in the artist's voice in the studio song, than when they sing live. I personally hardly hear any overly done auto tune in this song. Billie sounds just like he does it other songs. Like Katy Perry?
