Lyrics for ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! songs

Loss of Conrol -Life's a cruel crushing bastard crime. Even more proof that this song was crushing bastards. I like the name crushing bastards better.

I bet they only changed it because they wrote another song called "Dirty Rotten Bastards". Same with the "Angel/Baby Blue" thing we saw in the studio videos, I think that was because of "Baby Eyes" on ¡Dos!. It's actually funny watching Billie's writing on each record they put out, it always seems like similiar themes and words are used in alot of songs.

I'll update the OP in a bit, looks like everyone has done a good job working out the lyrics :) my only suggestion is that "want a senorita" line in Angel Blue sounds a bit weird, is it "aren't a senorita" or "weren't a senorita" instead? But then Billie's lyrics are often odd so it could be anything. :P

In "Fell for you" everybody seems to hear this:

You're out of sight but not out of mind

But I understand:

You're out if sight but I don't mind

Am I the only one?

In Rusty James I hear this

When there's no one left around

And you're the last gang in town

And your heart can't even radiate

When it doesn't even pound

Hell, "even breaaaaeeeaaak" is ridicoulous.

But you didn't help in any way, 'cause bacause you wrote in this thread you upped it, so i thought it was active and the lyrics was being updated...

I was terribly dissappointed

It's fucking weird listening to this song and expecting it to stop right after "break a leg"!

Catching blessing going zero to five??????

Is it just one of those random Billie-burbles or does he actually say something in the Sweet 16 solo? Didn't notice it on my speakers but I've heard it now I'm listening on my headphones.

Updated the OP.

Sounds a bit like "so long ago" but I dunno. I guess that'd fit.

Who do you think Billie is talking about in Sweet 16 when singing "brown-eyed girl" and "brown-skinned girl"?

The line "from the mid west to the beach" made me think of Adrienne since she's from Minnesota (not sure if that's Mid West) but the rest of the lyrics sound very much like Billie reminising about his old band days in warehouses and such.

I think it's Adrienne, Billie said in that Guitar World interview that the first verse is about their early relationship and the second is about their relationship now, or something along those lines.

I noticed in Sweet 16 (it's obviously about Adrienne) but it said "from California to Jane St" and I googled it and there's a Jane St in Minnesota. I'm sure there are Jane streets everywhere else but maybe that's where they met or something. So cute.

Sweet 16 (with some help from Trina)

Thanks a TON dude, I needed these lyrics, and I knew to check this thread first, haha! I'm working on a cover of "Sweet 16," and now I can do it the right way! I'll post a link when finished :)

Since you can now offficialy listen to the entire album i thought it would be cool to see the lyrics everyone liked the most. My personal favorite so far was from nuclear family "Gonna ride the world like a merry-go-round" what do you guys think?

Mine for sure as of right now are, "Drinkin' Angel's piss gonna crash and burn" off of Nuclear Family...

Or the simple, yet impossible to resist singing along too bridge in Let Yourself Go "always fuck-fucking with my head now, fuck-fucking with my head now"

God i love that :P

I had a dream that I kissed your lips and it felt so true. Then I woke up as a nervous wreck and I fell for you.

I'm pretty sure it said 'teenage blue'. I really do like the name crushing bastards better. It'll be hard to ween myself off of it

I don't know if this has been explained before but, what does the line "count the circles round my eyes" mean in Stay the Night? What does it refer to? I can't find a meaning for that... I don't know if that's a common expression in English or something like that, but having circles all around the eyes doesn't make sense to me. XD

I only know the expression "circles under one's eyes" which is what you get when you've had a hangover (or just simply lack of sleep). Not sure if this is what it's refering to.

Then, the line "why don't you stay and count the circles round my eyes" could mean something like "stay and let me tell you all the parties I've been to and all the times I got drunk" maybe.

I think it just means "look how tired I am, just stay with me". I don't think that phrase would be used in reference to partying etc, but you never know I guess. It could be a reference to losing sleep over the person in the song too.

I hope Billie Joe performs Sweet 16 as part of his acoustic encore this upcoming tour!

I think it'd be great!

In Stay the Night chorus I hear "Say you'll stay the night 'cause we're running out of time"

and not "Stay, stay the night 'cause we're running out of time" or "Stay, just stay the night 'cause we're running out of time"
