lizziebix
Nooooo. Yup. That named tour itself must come to an end eventually. Now on to other things.
beejeezee
Yup. That named tour itself must come to an end eventually. Now on to other things. This doesn't mark an end to the trilogy does it? I can't imagine what they would name the second tour.

No real idea but I just "feel" like there won't be an additional tour related to the Trilogy. The fav Trilogy songs will be incorporated in the the general setlist and whatever is new will decide the name of the next tour. Whenever that happens. DookieLukie
I'm sure Jeff is no multi-millionaire the way the rest of the band is, but it seems so weird if he's actually being serious about 1. giving lessons and 2. charging an arbitrary "$30" for it.... not that he wouldn't be cool enough to offer lessons, and it makes sense not to do them for free, but it's just such a weird concept. On that topic, how much does a band extra like Jeff make? Any idea?
gnash
On that topic, how much does a band extra like Jeff make? Any idea? Probably not as much as people think - remember from something (the Cometbus thing I think) that said that Jason White always goes and finds somewhere in the city to have breakfast on tour as the restaurant breakfasts were too expensive

All the guys are eating together and Jason's getting an egg McMuffin or something somewhere.

Yojimbo
which one?Nevermind. Just found out that it had the word "role-play" in it's bio. Still bugs me that that account has more followers than the official. Serves them right for not tweeting anything.

Hermione
That's such a sad mental image. All the guys are eating together and Jason's getting an egg McMuffin or something somewhere. I doubt it's like that haha, in that Cometbus it also mentions that there's also free good quality catering available for everyone on the tour. I think he just meant he preferred less expensive (as in normal prices instead of 5 star gourmet food, not dirt cheap) places when he happened to go and eat somewhere by himself. He's obviously not going to be as rich as Billie Mike and Tre but pretty sure he's doing alright for himself and that a group of such good old friends can manage to eat/hang out together without awkwardness even if some are richer than others. More than likely so. Good quality catering sounds pretty damn god.
Hermione
More than likely so. Good quality catering sounds pretty damn god. Yeah he mentions something about devouring an entire braised salmon and then finding out that was just the starter in the first chapter . I think they're all well fed on tour. I think they're all well fed on tour. Actually that was just on the plane. His point was the food on the flight was free & he had never been first class before so wasn't used to free food and so much etc (but that's standard for long haul first class flights) however he pointed out that each of them had to pay their own way in hotels etc His point though was about how Jason was looking forward to when Green Day would be less popular again as the five star lifestyle wasn't something he enjoyed. I think Cometbus wrote about a side of the guys never spoken about and totally misconceived by the majority of fans and it should be a requirement to read it dammit

Wasn't it something like there was catering but only until a certain time so after that they'd have to get their own food? I think there was some provided. But yeah in any case I agree that was the point, not so much not being able to afford it (pretty sure he could just for the tour if he wanted), more just it not being his thing. And I agree again, such an interesting read! And yeah the part about eating a whole salmon just as a starter on the plane might have been a slight exaggeration , he was just emphasizing how plentiful and high quality the food was and how unusual it was for him.
