Democracy ftw   Ha. I don't know exactly how it works but here you're automatically eligible when you turn 18, just show up with your ID. I guess it's harder to keep track in a country like the US but still, never heard of kids or non-citizens being an issue.

We could do that in theory but the problem with requiring IDs is it eliminates a lot of people; most people who don't drive, some homeless/poor people, etc. I don't know everything about this but it definitely gets in the way of the liberal vote at least which is part of the reason conservatives love voter ID laws. Some states have them currently and others don't. Regardless, we do need to make it easier to vote.

^^ Fair enough. About Headcount, it was probably something else but I'm sure he talked about in an interview how they would have people/booths/something at their shows during the AI tour at least encouraging people to vote somehow.  "And then 3-4 years later those kids were 18 and Obama was elected into office", to paraphrase - I'm not making this up am I??

That’s because we don’t have a national identity card in the US, we use driver’s licenses which not everyone has or can get. A national ID card for voting would be more inclusive and you can still have ID laws. Still, Republicans don’t like any laws that allow the largest number of people to vote.

No I remember that. It was a campaign at the time called Rock the Vote and they had tables for the AI tour at shows.

Good point. That would be a great idea but yeah the Republicans would definitely not be on board.

Apparently Billie forgot that they did that or something because he said "I wish there was a way to register people to vote when they come to a show" haha. There's probably other groups that do it too.

What about Still Breathing? It skipped it.

It’s really jarring to see American Idiot after Macy’s Day Parade. Reminds you what a leap it was visually and creatively for the band.

It's not early in New York. It was after 9am when he started tweeting.

How do you know he’s still in NY?

I'm applying logic. It's after 9am in NYC when he sent his first tweet. It is only 6am in California.

So he can’t possibly be up at 6am?  Maybe he just binged a Ken Burns documentary all night?  Sorry that’s not enough proof for me. Mike and Tre both flew back Sunday and Billie first posted about Rocky Sunday afternoon which I logically assumed was once he got home. There has been no photo evidence or otherwise of him still being in New York, in fact he cancelled a tv appearance meant for today so why would he do that and still stick around?  I just don’t get how you can state it with such authority based on the hour alone.

I was thinking he was back in California already. Billie's had a habit before of being an early bird-and tweeting.

The only thing I think of when I see those is how that glow up happened.

 I'm not interested in providing "poof" for you. I happen to think it makes more logical sense for him to still be in NYC where it was 9am when he tweeted as opposed to California where it was 6am. However since you seem to focus on photo evidence I will point out there is none of him being back in California and while he has a dead dog there he has a living child in college in NYC which is reason enough to "stick around".

Trust me, as a parent of a college child they want to see you for all of a few hours, including lunch, and are busy with class during the week. He most likely saw Jakob over the weekend and that was it. No reason to just hang around when you haven’t been home in months.

And since I know you won’t let this go, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on our use of “logic”.

Not everyone is the same. I spent five years in university and was always happy when my mom would visit and could stay for a few days. My friends were all the same. We saw each other's parents as friends and were all family basically. By the time we were in university our parents weren't really viewed as parents anymore; more like friends. As for Billie, the Observer stated he had plans to move to NY this fall after Jakob went to college.
