Laura!
I finally watched the episode this morning (thank god for on demand!) and I thought all songs were fabulous. I can't wait to hear the full versions on the albums. And I thought that the songs went well with the episode.

Nimrod99
I am really digging Nightlife. I love the sound of it. The Forgotten is starting to get drilled in my head as well.

tresrocknrollgf
Why are people saying we are getting the full version of "the forgotten" on Tuesday? That's when the twilight soundtrack is released, which it's on...i think.

Requila
That's when the twilight soundtrack is released, which it's on...i think. No, the soundtrack will be released on the 13th of November. The Forgotten will just be the lead single of the album. Same idea though, unless you care about the other tracks on the soundtrack

Same idea though, unless you care about the other tracks on the soundtrack whoops, oh well, basically same idea. the fact that it's the lead single for a major film like Twilight is pretty great, that means it must be really good... DecanoLP
Oh my god, The Forgotten is terrible. It sounds exactly like Last Night On Earth and Restless Heart Syndrome... Not a huge fan of Amy either, that's not as bad as The Forgotten.

DecanoLP
Lol what song are you even listening to? it doesn't sound like them at all but okay It's a piano ballad, the first notes might be even the same as in LNOE, so it is definitely similiar to these songs. In my opinion, piano ballads don't work in the Green Day universe..

mabi
ahahah that's strange. Maybe "the forgotten" is the first song of the entire trilogy that doesn't remind any of all the previously released songs.

DecanoLP
sooo all the piano songs sound the same to you? That's not what I said.... Sure, piano ballads do sound similiar since they usually only contain a piano, a slow drum beat and Billie Joe's voice, the same in The Forgotten. I hated LNOE, the beginning of RHS wasn't good either and I don't like this new song now. It just doesn't fit to Billie's voice in my opinion (!!!!) and is really lame. Sixtrix
Just watched the episode of CSI NY and the first few minutes were great but then I started to feel that some parts were kind of forced to have no dialogue for the sake of not having dialogue. But then SWTRLF kicked in and it actually made it work! I got tears during Amy. Whatever I said about that song as bad critique, I think I would have to take it back because it touched my heart as soon as Billie started to sing the first strong lines "is your heart singing out if tune or are your eyes just singing the blues". The recording of the song seems perfect. I can't help but wonder what happened to the strings. Nightlife has a great bass and flow through the song. I might have to get used to the eery effects on the vocals. Again, I got tears during the Forgotten, but that partly might have to do with the fact that I lost my grandmother recently. The emotion in the song and the lyrics fitted so well with that. But it also fit good in the scenes it was used. Especially the part used for the ending of the episode. Magnificent ending. They really pulled it off so well I think. I loved the way the story flowed with the use of the songs, showing more acting than when dialogue would be used. I am going to dry my eyes and maybe watch the episode again later on.

The Snark
CSI: NY is a show I have to be in the mood to watch and last night I just wasn't (plus that's when Grimm is on and I love that show). I just watched the beginning now though. Amy and The Forgotten are gorgeous! I'm going to hold off my opinion on the other two until I can hear the whole songs. And I know it's just a show, but why wasn't there an officer outside of her hospital room? She had just witnessed an attempted assassination with the shooter still on the loose. *sigh* Details, details...
