Femme Gauche
Emily something. She apparently auditioned with (Johnny Cash's, of course) Ring Of Fire? Rob Thomas was born February 14 1972... 3 days before Billie Joe. Is Billie Joe the only one not going to be in this episode or did I miss him? Is this the last episode of Battle Rounds... will we never see him again? Aw, that's sad . They showed Christina's battle just as a little snippet or whatever? And... that's pretty funny about his birthday.
Guest
Emily something. She apparently auditioned with (Johnny Cash's, of course) Ring Of Fire? Oh. I don't think we even saw her entire blind audition. Some people weren't worthy of more than a few seconds, apparently. Let me know if Mackenzie wins or gets saved, please! Heather.
It's annoying because they previewed all the mentors and mentioned Billie Joe, but didn't show him Everyone else they showed (I think they showed Rob Thomas twice?)

No, there are still slots left on the judges' teams. There's one more week, for sure.

But I think it's because he wasn't confortable enough doing this, but he's getting better! haha

And, for the record, I think De'borah did well for someone who hadn't known the song previously, and I could tell Nelly's Echo would be in trouble for overdoing it; he should've just sang it the way he did in rehearsals. It didn't turn out to be the best of the night, but it wasn't terrible either. Everything that we're seeing is being edited though, so we've never really known everything that Billie is saying or not saying. Just the "highlights" that the producers decide to put in there. I-Like-Pop-Tarts
Billie's Bits from Monday 15th Episode - http://www.sendspace.com/file/4zlr3c (32mb, 4mins53s) Am I right in thinking there was no appearance from him last night? I guess because they showed 2 of Christina's battles on the Monday.
lizziebix
So while waiting for Billie's few minutes (after heaving editing by the Show to show off Christina more), I've started to actally like some of the singers and actually care about the outcome of the battles. That said, once Billie's done and the battle rounds over, I'm not sure I'll be sticking around to watch the rest of the season, I will, however, be depending on all of you to keep me informed! This is the worst season yet in terms of talent, in my opinion. Lots of weak singers this time around. I like two people, Melanie and Mackenzie, and that's it. I know that... by nice I mean like tips and usefull things that might help them on the performance. I watch the voice since first season, i'm a fan of the show. I've watched the UK, Australian, Irish and Brazilian versions. And I even watched a few episodes of The voice of holland, La Voz da Argentina and The Voice of Russia (which premiered recently). And so I've seen many mentors/advisors (good ones, great ones and bad ones). Don't get me bad, I love Billie Joe (of course), I think he is nice and he (almost) always says nice things, but I mean as a the voice mentor he's not doing well. He got better this week though, but when they show Mary J Blige, Michael Buble and Rob Thomas they are waaaaaaaay much better (AS MENTORS) than Billie Joe! hahaha I love Rob Thomas, he could be a coach on the show! <3 I think Billie knows a lot and he's def got a lot to teach, but (so far) he doesn't know how to do it. Or maybe it's just because Xtina talks too much. =P But he still seems uncomfortable being there. I watched the first episode Billie was on, and I loved it Going to watch the whole thing now, I really like "The Voice" =) Awwnn! Do it... The Voice is great! First season was better than this current one, but they are all great!

First season was better than this current one, but they are all great! I watched The Voice last season, as well, and this time around, I watched from the beginning, since I knew I had enjoyed it last time. I am not watching just for Billie Joe, and, quite frankly, the fact that you've apparently watched a million and one versions of it doesn't mean I have to agree with any of your assessments of either the performers or the coaches. I do agree that Billie often looks....not so much uncomfortable, but bored (he even looked like he was falling asleep at one point). But Billie has said, himself, that he doesn't feel like he can really offer up much in the way of actually telling people *how* to sing, especially since Xtina's team is predominantly comprised of pop-styled singers. His own knowledge and technique is inadequate in that case. Or, at least, he feels that it is, so he doesn't have much to say, other than to give additional support and other general advice about how it's okay to be nervous (lame, but useful, since freaking out too much can ruin your performance), to not overdo the vocal acrobatics, and that the delivery doesn't always have to be perfect in order to sound good. If he was working predominantly with rock singers or those with unique, non-traditional sounding voices, I think he would've been more engaged overall and would've had more to say. But, given the circumstances, he does the best he can.

I'm watching the first season too, it's airing in one of my channels =D I watched the Portuguese version of the Voice last year, so I already knew I would enjoy it!
