Green Day References

Not sure this belongs here, but today I heard my father singing American Idiot completely randomly. Green Day hadn't been played on the radio or TV. They hadn't even come up in conversation.

I think I shall dance in celebration.

If I saw this Billie Joe wouldn't be the first thing I thought of for "BJs on the Beach"...

Yesterday at the supermarket they had on sale a bunch of movies and music dvds, and Green Day Live At Fox Theater was one of them!!! I was super happy because they never had anything of them.

I found basket case in 90' alternatives in songpop and also 21 guns :D

This may not be a reference but

Two years ago I was watching some stuff from stands and I saw some band bags.

I asked "Have you got a green day one?" "It's 18 euros" "Thanks" and I went away

In the episode of How I Met Your Mother I was just watching, during a flashback to wedding planning for Marshall and Lily,Ted says "How about a slideshow of you guys through the years set to Green Day's Time of Your Life, and ending with your baby photos side by side". But is was in the list of wedding cliches they weren't going to touch with a ten foot pole.

I was watching a TV show and one of the characters said "Close only counts in grenades and horseshoes."

Would have been more fun if he had said horshoes and hand grenades obviously, but what can ya do.

It's not an ACTUAL Green Day reference, but it was exciting anyway lol.

Not exaaactly a Green Day reference, but a bar in my college town is called the "dirty bastard." It made drunk me smile a couple weekends ago. :P (Founders is a dorm on campus, which is why it's technically called the Founders dirty bastard.)

Saw Dookie, Warning, Shenanigans cd in a store.

Saw a Green Day dvd called Green Day Rock and Roll, a live show from 2012.

Saw the Green Day Uno and Tré boxset with the cd and a t-shirt.
