gerardsangel4977
Not sure if this counts, but last year my English teacher gave our class Boulevard of Broken Dreams for Literature. It was the best fucking feeling ever doing it as homework. Whoa, seriously?? What was it, part of a poetry unit or something?
Bronni
Whoa, seriously?? What was it, part of a poetry unit or something? It was part of our Literature Poetry syllabus. We even had it for our exam.
Hermione
My mum was watching some documentary/reality programme about a medical response team in New Zealand and phoned me to tell me about of the cases featured on it as she watched. A couple was about to get on a plane to go to a Green Day show , but the wife had chest problems and needed help. When describing the fact that she'd started coughing up green mucus, the husband added "turned out she was having a GREEN day after all" . But it was a happy ending, she got better and they were able to get a later flight and still see the show. I wish I'd been watching this lol.
Ilda_25
I saw a t-shirt at a shop that says "American Dream". My first thought: "Oh dream, America, dream, I can't even sleep from the light's early dawn" (...)

Neat I find it so wonderfully ironic that Billie apparently did so poorly in English, and now English teachers are using his work in class!

Well, I don't *know*, but....I always remember that story he told about how, when Green Day put out their first record, he showed it to his teacher, and she just ended up correcting his spelling on it Poor Billie... It was the best fucking feeling ever doing it as homework. I had to listen to WMUWSE in class for a poetry unit... It was like a whole two weeks with a different song daily.

Slave To The Network
^wtf? I was in chemistry class today and some of my classmates were talking about sports and the recent win of the Seattle Seahawks. I wasn't really paying attention because I'm not into sports and they started talking about future games. But I perked up when one of them said "What about Green Day? I mean Green Bay. Green Bay Packers. Green Day? Good heavens."

Popular Post Virtue
We were reviewing "Personification" in English class with our Student Teacher by doing a project,So she had a bunch of examples and one of them was a picture of a city and it said " 'Where the city sleeps and I'm the only one and I walk alone'-Green Day" Being my Binder is a collage of Green Day stuff (And I'm famously known for being..The "Green Day Guy" ) I got all eyes rolled to me.

Yojimbo
I never get anything related to Green Day at my school. Last semester I got a Coldplay reference on an economics paper which is the only music reference I remember.
