Ok, it twitched.

Dear Andres,

The sexy Greek guy likes the shirt inspired by my shirt inspired by Green Day... mass production! Now!

For anyone who's interested, here's the original shirt that I had made for the July 4th, 2009 Green Day show here in Vancouver. The front was EJN inspired, the back combined 21stCB, the whole graffiti theme, and some imagery I felt suited the lyrics from Restless Heart Syndrome.

FRONT

The back is awesome

I like the shirt. I was just thinking if the writing was red it would look like the GDA logo, and maybe ye could but the actual GDA logo on the back.... but backwards?

Oh and if there's a women's version, I'd prob buy it as it is :)

Why is it backwards?

Improvement: dont make it backwards

so you can read it in the mirror

Shirt looks amazing. If I wasn't already broke as fuck and trying to save up for all 3 new albums and concert tix, I'd buy it.

We can definitely have women's shirts as well like the apathy shirts.

That is hilarious.

OMG I didn't know there were women's Apathy shirts! I might need another one now.

I did consider making the letters flipped backwards for the mirror effect. However, I changed my mind, considering in the beginning of EJN, you can hear Billie make the sounds "em tset tnod" Like if you actually pronounced the words that way. I know that it's his voice backwards, but I figured more people would understand the Green Day reference if the letters were normal and looked like a weird language. Anybody can make any message flipped backwards for mirror readability, but only if you know EJN will you understand em tset tnod :)

I would also like to make another suggestion for all current and future shirt designs: Put the GDA logo on the top center of the back of the shirt. yes?

Reminds me of the Mirror of Erised, non-flipped letters with the words backwards.

---------------------------------

Cool design, but yup, a fitted t-shirt would be nice. Also if it had a more open (is that the right word?) neckline... I love the sixpack shirt as well, but it's got such a high neck. Even though it's fitted, to me shirts like that still fall in the "black men's band shirts" category to me, which is why I'm very hesitant to buy that shirt and this one.

If it's backwards, why not make it upside-down too? :P

heheh, I like this idea.

Oh my gosh!! I love this one, and I actually got it the 1st time I saw it, unlike the 6 pack of apathy one.

The mirrored thing would work even better, for sure.

I like how the words are backwards, but the letters aren't. Hopefully the wearer would know what it says and not have to look in a mirror to figure it out. :P

How about doing red words on a brown shirt? It would look like splattered blood...

I'm pretty sure I wasn't given a "girls" option when I order my apathy shirt. Probably should have waited for all the options. Oh well.

We didn't have the women's option until a month or two ago. Wasn't available at first.

See, my senior moments aren't all that bad! Thanks for clarifying, Matt!

I wouldn't buy it. The design isn't that great (though it is pretty cool, but the six pack of apathy was a lot more original) and I'm a little tired of seeing these typical black shirts. If they'd be available in good color schemes, then I'd consider getting it.

That be cool too actually, different colours!

But would that cost more money to get them made into different colours though? And then it could result in everyone buying one colour and not the others resulting in t-shirt discrimination.
