Sixtrix
Cool.So 11 songs on Tre. I was kind of hoping all 3 albums would have 12 songs. But I bet Tre would be too epic with 12 songs
sara_gd
Those hip-hop comments are getting me frightened It's a genre that I don't like at all. I hope they don't make that song a single, though it'll probably happen. I don't want to imagine Green Days "Planetary GO!" (MCR)
solongfromthestars
They could have added a new song, Tre could still have 12. Hopefully
San Miguel
Cool.So 11 songs on Tre. I guess so, unless there are 11 new songs and something already done - like Cigarettes and Valentines. i can't remember if the RS interview said 36 songs or 36 new songs I believe that would be someone's loose interpretation of "Everyone's so full of shit..." agreed
The Pedestrian
I'm still wondering what the Beatles reference in It's Fuck Time could possibly be. Have to wait until Dos is out! Come together, right now.... Over me.

I hope they don't make that song a single, though it'll probably happen. I don't want to imagine Green Days "Planetary GO!" (MCR) Planetary is not hip hop at all. Like, not at all. It's just Gerard singing fast (and an awesome song but that's subjective) and I feel like maybe that's what this Green Day rap thing may be and that we're just taking the comments too literally. I feel like it's just going to be a girl singing a small rap part or a chorus-y part like they do in a lot of pop songs, not just full out YO YO I'M THE AMERICAN IDIOT YO or anything like that. petros
I don't think(at least hope) that green day will use electronic shit like mcr did in the last album. They are one of the few popular bands that still keep it simple to guitar bass drums and maybe some piano or strings and that's what I love tbh.If you people wanna hear what we will probably get by saying rap go listen to some Beastie Boys. I remember Billie tweeting how much he loved their last album...
solongfromthestars
If you people wanna hear what we will probably get by saying rap go listen to some Beastie Boys. That's what I was thinking, if the song does turn out to be a proper rap. I wasn't going to say anything though because this conversation is silly until we actually hear more about the song, it could just be that the people have phrased it badly by using those words and it isn't an actual rap at all. I really doubt there's any yo yo yo hoe going on. That'd be quite cool though, if it was Beastie Boys style.

Yeah well, maybe not hip-hop strictly. I know nothing about hip-hop to be honest, I was refering more to the type of music they play at discos, that's what I was assuming those people were talking about, but idk. It's just... Green Day doing that kind of disco-rock thing... meh... I don't think(at least hope) that green day will use electronic shit like mcr did in the last album. Heather.
If we had heard about this as GREEN DAY doing hip-hop, I'd say it'd be more Beastie Boys and all that punk-hiphop fusion everyone's been referencing... especially since we know when Adam Yauch died Billie was sad, I'm sure they were fans. But since we've heard that there is a female voice guest-rapping on the song, it's hard to make any kind of guess what style it's in.

This is Green Day we're talking about here. They don't release their studio fails, and they don't do anything half-assed either. If it ain't worth listening to (even if you don't like the genre they're taking aim at generally), it wouldn't have made it onto the album. Capiche? DannyDirnt
I know someone's gonna kill me for this, but maybe they had to put one song more in ¡Dos! to include Stray Heart Actually, it may have happened, though maybe with other song.
Cris.
YO YO I'M THE AMERICAN IDIOT YO or anything like that. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now I feel like I'll be so disappointed if we they don't do that But yes, I agree with what you and bastards_of_1967 are saying. It probably won't be a full rap song, just some punk with a verse or two or so done by the rapping girl. And even if you don't like that ONE song IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. There are two GD songs I don't like, at all, and my world is still a happy one, where there are puppies and bunnies, and sunshine and rainbows... and Green Day is still my favourite band. Sol seriously people, relax. It's not like a project that includes 36(+?) songs will go straight into your black list because there was one song, in one of the three albums, that you didn't like at all. And still, I bet some of the most ocncerned people in this thread will probably actually enjoy the song.

There will be still 35 other songs without rap, right? And sometimes rap with rock sounds good, how did it Die Toten Hosen.
