I only have this one: [x] I made a screen cap of the video before Mike & the writing are added. It's not exactly like the cover, because the pattern was still moving in the video.

I could remove Mike & the writing, but it will never look like the original. :cry:

There are some photos on which he slept with unicorn, so mabe this time he will need a leopard on tour not to sleep alone? :lol:However, he could also choose me. Or Mike.

Sorry, I just thought it was common knowledge. :)

The story goes that Tre bit a live octopus while on the Asian part of their last tour. It wasn't really a very pleasant story, imo. But very typical Tre.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the way the two clips we've heard sound. I like the in your face, compressed, maxed out sound. And these just sound dull. I'm sure it's just because they're just mixes and haven't been mastered yet. So I should hold my reserves until we hear the album versions.

Compressed maxed out records sound dull. Please compare ANY album from a big band from the 60s/70s to ANY recent album. Compressing the songs makes them tiring to listen and takes the life out of them. It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of having hears.

Really? 21CB tired me a lot more than AI, but I lately got bored of it too. Actually, it's true that at least for me it's harder to get tired of their old stuff. Maybe they changed the way they mixed/maxed out things in the studio.

I think it kind of depends on the total recording quality of the record and the quality of the songs themselves. You can't really compare music from the 60's/70's to modern music.

There is no way that artists these days can write songs as powerful as back then. Even with shitty quality songs could sound great back then. I do think that even if Green Day get a bit overproduced, it is hard to deny that they really do have good songs. For me that kind of compensates it.

I didn't mean that i don't like their newer albums. 21st and AI are among their top 5, for sure! But the sound is VERY tiring because the songs have no greater impact. A acoustic/clean moment has the exact same volume as a full blown attack to the guitar, even if your head doesn't perceive it like that. That's what tires your hears. It's not a matter of writing songs as powerful, it's mixing and mastering them correctly.

Listen to two diferent mixes/masters, one for CD and the other for LP, of the same songs, and tell me the second one sounds worse.

I'm ready to get back to basics. I'm very excited about what I'm hearing from these trailers. I'm most excited for Uno because I will be happy to have the new album, but still have 2 more albums to look forward to. The anticipation is half the fun. It's been almost 2 years since I've seen Green Day live and having these video updates and bits of information coming out, with the promise of a new tour, I am so stoked!
