WOW!! Awesome, was at school again when my friend told me about this. Nearly screamed in the quadrangle at school when I saw it. :P

Anyone notice the extreme similarity between the Fuck Time solo and the Teenagers solo by MCR?

I never was a fan of Fuck Time, but it sounds much more lively now IMO

Hm. I don't want to hear any teasers for songs yet until singles or the album are released. Cuz I'm a ~hipster fan.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the way the two clips we've heard sound. I like the in your face, compressed, maxed out sound. And these just sound dull. I'm sure it's just because they're just mixes and haven't been mastered yet. So I should hold my reserves until we hear the album versions.

Hm, actually I think that these two clips we've heard were already mastered. A big part of their "maxed out sound" on the previous records was because of the amps. Mastering is just playing with the volume etc to make the album consistent (so that the guitars aren't super loud in one song and quiet in the next song, for example)

I thought mastering was maxing the total sound as much as possible

I might be wrong! :) But I looked up the difference between mixing and mastering earlier and I got the impression that the biggest changes to the song happen during mixing.

Though I think what Matt was describing has less to do with mixing/mastering and more to do with the guitars and amps they used. Compare the first part of the Fuck Time solo to solos of 21st Century breakdown, the sound of the guitars is completely different. The previous albums had that classic Marshall amp/Gibson guitar sound whereas these songs clearly don't. I like this new sound as much as I did the old one though!

I don't know.. I think they are just really committed at keeping the sound as raw as possible. But I can't imagine all 3 albums to sound like that though

Same thing here. I think we can expect Tre sound a little like AI-21CB Green Day at some point. Maybe just couple of songs, I don't know... But it has to be something different in terms of sound at least.

That's what I am thinking. Song like Stay The Night and Carpe Diem wouldn't fit that exact raw sound I think. So I am sure they have been looking for a slightly different sound for different songs.

I won't be surprised if most of the songs on Dos sound like the IFT sample, because I think it would fit those kind of songs very well, but there might still be songs on there that sound maybe a bit less raw. Amy for instance.

Anyway, the eventual sounding of the albums is not going to ruin my excitement at all, so I don't see it as a bad thing or a problem that much.

But we'll see.

OH MY GOD!! I love the preview! Although the cover dissappointed me a lot. Mike doesn't look like Mike in that pic.

His mouth is weird in the cover, and that's one of my favorite Mike parts... I hope I get to see the actual photo of Mike so I can see the cover morew like Mike...

The trailer is awesome and dirrty and the cover is awesome (and Dirnty). Love everything!

I love how everyone uses the word "dirnty" since I made up that pun haha
