kristóf
Cause I love feelin' dirty And I love feelin' cheap And I love it when you hurt me So drive them staples deep Nice one, AnyCookiesHere... The only thing i'm afraid of is Fuck Time won't be the only song in this 'category'. Kerplunk doesn't includes 15 Dominated Love Slave. All the songs I've heard so far were like "Forget everything and let's have some fun', so there's a chance that the whole album is going to be like that. It doesn't mean that the album is going to be crap, or I won't like it. It's just a kind of negative point for me.

Mr.Whirly1988
The album cover is amazing! The song [preview song from the trailer] is amazing.. Everything is fucking perfect.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Kind of reminds me of RHCP. I like it. the artwork... on the one hand I think it's ugly and cheap, but it's kind of funny as well because of that.
Harry Potter.
Oh my god , I hadn't even thought about the fact they might be playing Fuck Time live yet. That is a genius idea and they must do it! They should make it a live classic and from now on play it on every single show.
Hermione
They should make it a live classic and from now on play it on every single show. I strongly agree! They've been playing it at all these secret shows so why not
kristóf
Then what about the "When masturbation's lost its fun you're fucking lonely"? That's Longview, one of their biggest hits. Longview has good lyrics, and there's nothing wrong with this line too. I'm not against sexual things, man, can't you see the difference between the two songs? The Pedestrian
So, some things I’ve noticed from the trailer which nobody’s picked up on yet (I think) Firstly, if you pause at just the right place it looks like ‘Firecracker’ is actually called ‘Hello Firecracker' Assuming this is Tre’s writing, it looks like he’s got a vocal part on one of the songs And ‘State of Shock’ has an epic beginning (I sincerely hope that those are lyrics)

San Miguel
Apologies in advance for fangirling but this is the first time i've been on this forum since seeing the video: it looks and sounds freaking awesome - really really AWESOME!! i don't know how Green Day do it again and again but whenever i hear a new song of theirs it just seems to fit. do you know what i mean? it just sounds right. i'll stop now.... theriteousandthemeek
Love the screencaps, and also loving the name of the songs on the albums. it's just a sign of great things to come. A good mix of Rage and Love
WalkingContradictionPL
I like the song, catchy and it's full of energy and stuff, but i was thinking about things like... A tons of (real) fans like Green Day because of their great lyrics, they say Billie Joe is a poet, and stuff... Listen to any song from any album they've made, it's not only the American Idiot, even Insomniac has brillant lyrics which is not my favourite disc (still love it though). Think about lines like "I'm the son of Rage and Love, the Jesus Of Suburbia." And now, we'll have OH BABY BABY IT'S FUCK TIME. Anyone can see my problem, or am I the only one? But what with King for a Day? "Just wait 'til all the guys fet a load of me" and the other lyrics? Billie also writes funny songs. He should write only pathetic songs? Oh come on! Live is also beautiful, not only serius. There are not olny moments of tears but also monets of fun, just great times!
San Miguel
apologies if i'm being dense but am i right to assume the writing in blue on the song list is the opening chord for each song? it's gotta be given they are A Am E F etc.. lot's starting with A!!! farley drexel hatcher
I feel like the cover is like a big fingers up to anyone expecting a serious and life affirming message in the art work! There's really nothing to discuss about it, unlike the the last two albums, other than how cool it looks and how smug Billie looks. I like it. It reminds me of The Boo. Cris.
So, some things I’ve noticed from the trailer which nobody’s picked up on yet (I think) Assuming this is Tre’s writing, it looks like he’s got a vocal part on one of the songs I cannot figure out what that hand writing says right between "(no bass)" and "solo vocal ME" What I can read is "his hat" hahahaha, but I don't think that makes much sense. I love the way It's Fuck Time reflects on the beautiful life... (okay, it reflects on ONE great/beautiful thing in life ) Okay, guys, stop taking 1-1 line out of songs. My problem is not one line. Not one song. My problem is that I'm afraid of the WHOLE album's lyrics will be different than the previous albums. I'm talking about FULL ALBUMS. Not one fucking line. (It doesn't mean that I think all the songs will be like It's Fuck Time, I just think that the lyrics won't be as good as before.)

(It doesn't mean that I think all the songs will be like It's Fuck Time, I just think that the lyrics won't be as good as before.) For me all albums differ from each other, also in lyrics. So maybe it's time for some fun and soft lyrics?

But I think their lyrics (at least for most songs) will be clever, even if they're not politically charged like the ones from American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown where. They might be clever in the Longview, Blood Sex and Booze or the whole of Insomniac kind of way. I mean, Billie's been writing amazingly clever songs for so long now, I can't just imagine him suddenly doing all sorts of dumb songs. But if what you're expecting is something along the lines of their last two albums, then maybe you will be disappointed. I think there might still be a few songs that are very political (Nuclear Family maybe? I haven't listened to the song, and if someone here already has please correct me if I'm wrong... but from the title I imagine its lyrics might be interesting in a political kind of way), but just not the majority of the album. Same as I doubt the majority of the albums will be repetitive songs with silly repetitive lyrics. (I don't mind silly though, so long as it's clever )

petros
I actually like that the songs seem to be going in a happier direction.I was tired of all those dark songs on 21stCB... I think there will still be some darker songs but the most I think will be pretty happy actually.

Why does my life have to be so small Yet death is forever? And does forever have a life to call it's own? THAT'S what I want. These lyrics. Not songs about fucking.
