Don't worry, you're wrong. :)

Green Day will be playing shows and making music until the entire band spontaneously combusts on stage at the end of their 6 quadrillionth show.

seems legit

Could it that after the 3 albums and a worldwide tour ( possibly another 2nd leg tour ) they will take a 4 year break ? Unless they love us so much and take a another 2 year break :)

They haven't even release the trilogy and we're talking about the next album :P

This thing about ending the band has been discussed before and I can't understand why people even think it...I mean they have lots of songs and they wanna release them...Why would this mean the end?

And it's been said a million time I'll say it one more the only way for Billie to get out of the band is in a fucking coffin...

im not saying theyd leave music, im saying green day as the band. However, it was just an opinon, dont mean to offend anyone!

I know it seems hard to imagine, but I dont know, Im quite concerned about it. Being fir, I didnt like 21st Century Breakdown, and it was the only time Green Day disappointed me -musically talking- and obviuosly it's just an opinion and i respect the other's, but either the trilogy is some kind of "good bye" or maybe is the biggest master piece of their entire career. However, failure its also an option. I dont think they'd stop playing in a band if this wuld be a good bye, and I reckon they mght want to experience how it feels to play in little gigs as a small band.

However, fingers crossed!

Is failure really what you're worried about? Look at AI and the time at which it was released, that was going to be the biggest hit or miss of their carear and look at how amazing it went down it threw the guys back into the mainstream. I honestly do not think this is a "goodbye" this is a "look how effin' amazing we are!"

No haha, i explained myself wrong there... by failure i meant, again, as a personal opinion about if i lik the album or not, not like a proper failure in their career, my only worry is they leaving green day and just spending the resst of their lives playing in their other bands in local pucs in us, where cant go lol

First of all, I wouldn't be that shocked because they have aa massive musical career on their backs and also, a family. I KNOW they wont split up, and im not trying to troll here. I just gave my opinion, because it's somethng im concerned about. End of.

There's literally no point in worrying about them breaking up. They're not going to anyway :P, but if they did it's not like there's anything we could do about it, we'd just have to get over it. We have no way of knowing if or when it's going to happen and there's nothing we could do to prevent it so might as well just enjoy the band and not waste your time thinking about it.

Is anyone scared?

And by scared I mean.. 3 albums, 3 proper albums within a few months between them all....

I've been wondering if this is some kind of "good bye" from the band... I even thought this i a proper end. Hopefully Im wrong, and the guys just ant to do something different and shcking, and I really wish this is the only reason.

But have anyone thought about this?

That was my first thought too, but then I saw the new videos, when he says "what a way to start off the decade" it just seems like they're not going anywhere. But we can't tell anything for sure, so lets hope the best and save the tears for later. :)

I've discussed this earlier in this thread. To recap: creatively, this band's been on a tear ever since the 2009 tour and AIOB becoming a hit on Broadway. They teamed up with Rob Cavallo on this next release, and he's always brought out the best in them. They've got one of the best work ethics of any band in the biz, and don't forget that they also love throwing the music industry a curveball every now and then just 'cause they *can*. Altogether, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they've got somewhere around 30 quality tracks they're ready to drop on us in a compressed timeframe. Retirement? Billie's gonna retire when he fucking CROAKS and not a minute sooner. :)

I'm unaware if it's been discussed in previous pages, but what do you think the sound of the new albums is going to be?

Fun and electric like Foxboro, down and dirty like Pinhead?

Acoustic skeleton like Warning? Nostalgically charged like Nimrod?

Billie told us a while ago it would have a bit of tubbies vibe to it so I'm counting on that. :angry
